we have struggled all day here ,tbh, yesterday here, was i think, rare,not talking elevated french frontal or mcs ,but building over the top of you head ,surfaced based ,once its elevated its great but really ..you sort of know the score ,surface based ..well anything can happen ,lucky dip,and i stand by that, it dont happen much ,so today was a bit of a dry squib,if clouds were tall people ,then they was in a low ceiling environment today ;-{

Well taking a look again (should look at radar and sat really )(but feel I put mockers on it if I do ) today is not yesterday for sure lol,if you can get though to Thor he will proberbly say 'its all ad hoc today ' electric mumma ,because couple hours ago I honestly thought it had shifted west a bit but now it's just sort of ...well 'ad hoc '
I’ll be radar and sky watching then. Thor swore at me and said he’s not playing because I didn’t buy him an ice cream yesterday.

I’m hoping we don’t get a repeat of yesterday’s “so close yet so far” as I’m not mobile and mini me is dying to have a “real” storm.

I'm in Eastbourne and it's painfully close but no cigar. I've got blue sky one side and a thunderstorm the other side.
I feel you. Sounded amazing and looked promising on approach and then turned, such a tease

It did a distinct and irritating left turn at the last moment it seems, leaving us with the spotty rain overhang. Loud rumble as I typed this though!
Yes that was a long loud rumble. Hoping for a return lol

Disappointing it’s travelled too far inland to produce anything spectacular down here other than distant rumbles and a spot of light rain
-
And a few gentle blips of rain

I just received in my e-mail box a Met Office weather warning for thunderstorms in the south east. I checked the rain radar to see the small cluster of storms departing Sussex for the Channel.
The MO are just a little late to the party, aren't they? Afternoon tea and scones more important!?
Those of you who get the storms - enjoy!
Down here in East Sussex the storm hasn’t left land yet, in fact it hasn’t hit bexhill properly yet either, in fact we are only just loosing the sun now
