Had a bit of everything this morning, ground is still wet but the sky is clearing in the north and still horrible to the south. Which of my clocks are right?

@mistyqueen I have a pal who had to have his jaw wired following an ice hockey injury. He lived on nothing but Guinness for a month. He says he can't remember how much pain he was in, which he sees as a good thing. Enjoy your red wine! Today I'll be heading up to visit my parents for a picnic lunch. Into the valley of deaf.... Wish me luck.
Temperature currently 8.9deg.C up from a minimum of 5.5deg.C at 00:53, humidity is 84%, wind around 4mph south to southeasterly with a max gust of 14mph, pressure is 985.6hPa rising, and there's been 1.0mm of rain since midnight and in the last 24 hours. The sun is out and cloud cover is 5/8.

Sun is out and it's cleared up nicely from a dull and damp start with a minimum temp of 6.2deg.C at midnight.

Saturday mornings would be a lost less uncomfortable if they didn't follow Friday nights. Someone organise a rearrangement. Also, was woken this morning with torrential rain battering off the skylight. That won't do either.
Temperature currently 9.9deg.C up from minimum of 6.2deg.C at midnight, humidity is 85%, wind has been between 2 and 18mph today, south to southeasterly, pressure is 990.7hPa, and there's been 11.8mm of rain since midnight with a maximum rate of 64.4mm/hr, which I think is what woke me up.

I don't think the farmers around here have done too badly with their harvests, just as they did well with planting in the spring. It was the bit in between that was a bit rubbish. I often wonder whether keen gamblers would like farming, where no part of their lives is certain and everything is constantly down to chance.

Dull and damp with no wind and a minimum temperature of 8.2deg/C overnight.

Test result negative, which is nice. thank you for your concern. @snowidea Great Expectations! My problem, which I accept is down to me, is that I just don't care what happens to Pip, I am not interested in the side stories and I can't abide the over-engineered happy ending. It's not as bad as Prester John though, and I say that as someone who normally likes John Buchan's books.
Temperature currently 9.2deg.C up 1deg.C from minimum at 05:17, humidity is 98%, no wind, no rain since midnight, pressure is 1001.0hPa rising, and there is 8/8 cloud cover. A dull, damp day.

I received a text message from my cleaner last night to warn me, as I was shielding earlier this year, that she has tested positive for Covid19. I have therefore spent the morning trying to arrange a test, which I now have. Meanwhile, in weather world:-

Just the sort of day to go out and dance in the rain or jump in puddles. That is, if you're the village idiot or a dog walker, which I'm not. Today I stayed in and read a book, a classic that I was forced to read at school and hated at the time. Age, experience and freedom of choice haven't changed my opinion of it.
The maximum temperature today was 11.6deg.C at 13:24 and it's still up at 10.6deg.C now, humidity is 96%, winds have remained below 10mph and have come mainly from the southeast, pressure is 1001.9hPa falling, and it's been raining more or less all day, although not heavily, and the total so far is 32.2mm.

Heavy cloud, very dull, 7.0mm of rain so far, light winds from the southeast, minimum temp was 9.2deg.C at midnight.

We've been very lucky here to have had a long and unseasonable run of decent mid-autumn weather with light winds, sparse cloud and bright days. Not any more.
Temperature currently 10.9deg.C up from a minimum of 9.2deg.C at midnight, humidity is 95%, the wind is blowing from the southeast at between 1 and 10mph, pressure is 1010.9 falling, 7.0mm of rain has fallen so far today with a maximum rate of 12.2mm/hr at 07:17 and it's cloudy and very dull.

Just back from my parents' house up in Glasgow where I had lunch. Usually we sit out in the front garden between the bins and the jaggy yellow bush to comply with Covid19 restrictions (the rules don't specifically mention either bins or jaggy yellow bushes, just to be clear,) but today it was drizzling up there so they sat me in the front porch and they sat at the other end of the hall. They are both on final approach to their 90s and really quite deaf so it was an interesting conversation. Actually it was at least two conversations; the one I was having and the one they thought we were having. Hey ho.
Temperature currently 10.0deg.C, max was 10.7deg.C at 15:00 and min was 6.2deg.C at 04:22, humidity is 85%, wind is very light to light from the southeast, pressure is 1021.7hPa falling quickly, and there's been no rain here despite 8/8 cloud cover that looks threatening.

It's dull and chilly out, but dry. I have a sore head.
Temperature currently 8.3deg.C up from a minimum of 5.9deg.C at 07:20, humidity is 86%, there's no wind, no rain, pressure is 1028.9hPa steady, and there is 8/8 cloud cover but it's pretty thin.

I’m typing this behind the couch because there’s a bunch of people in suits wandering up and down the street outside and in this village that means one of two things – either some locals are heading to Kilmarnock Sheriff Court or there are Jehovah’s Witnesses about to appear on my doorstep, which would spoil an otherwise excellent day. The weather was splendid at lunchtime and made a walk in the sunshine after my lunch date an enjoyable adjunct. The trees are really turning now.
The sky is clouding over now but the temperature is holding at 10.0deg.C down from a max of 11.1deg.C at 12:27, wind speed has generally been between 0 and 3mph with a max gust of 7mph, humidity is 78% and pressure is 1030.2hPa falling, and despite total cloud cover now there’s been no rain so far today.

Strangely for this area and time of year, most of the leaves are still on the trees. I have two rowans whose leaves haven't even started to change colour yet. The only tree that is happily shedding it's leaves is my Canadian maple!
Actually you are quite right. There were three leaves down and even although I kicked them each twice it was a less than satisfying experience.
Temperature currently 2.6deg.C up from a minimum of 1.7deg.C at 07:54, humidity is 96%, there's no wind and there's been no rain so far today, pressure is 1031.7hPa steady and well broken cloud amounts to 3/8 cover.
