  1. I can already see this month becoming exceptionally mild.. unless we see a cooler second half similar to April.
  2. 21C here, quite the shock given this time last week we were stuck in single digits.
  3. Really is quite surprising how different the weather is in the SW compared to the NW. Western Scotland is seeing quite the warmth recently, with 23C at Oban Airport. We've seen three sunny days on the trot with temps reaching 20C.. meanwhile it's barely in double digits down there. This sums it up quite perfectly, an unusual pattern tbh.
  4. rwtwm A similar thing happened in Dec 2022 IIRC. At 9.4C I was 0.2 away, not bad tbh. Well done to those who got it spot on.
  5. Not everyone's cup of tea but I'd love if the summer was predominately sunny, cool and dry with max temps around 17-21C, minima around 7-10C. Something like June 2013, July 2011, August 2009. That said, I wouldn't mind if a few days went into the mid 20s for a taste of warmth.
  6. Lol what was I thinking... anyways let's push it up 2.5C. 13.3C. Rainfall unchanged
  7. Daniel* Damn, a 10C drop for the 5th May. Best to not look beyond 5 days at this point, the models are definitely struggling atm. Still, it's likely to get much warmer than what we've seen recently.
  8. B87 Incredible, December 2015 being warmer than November 1994. Also having a higher avg min than April 2011.. Such an exceptional month for all the wrong reasons.
  9. Derecho Starting the month with 9.6C, and ending with it.
  10. Going from one extreme to another, rather not tbh.. Wouldn't mind a few weeks in the mid teens with endless days of sun.
  11. Yes, my prediction is looking better by the day. Though I went a bit too overboard for rainfall. This cool spell has gone on for longer than expected, and doesn't look all that mild until the beginning of May.
  12. stainesbloke As someone who usually doesn't mind dull and wet, even I'm starting to get bored of it. Sunny days in spring are perfect, shame the majority of it has been so cloudy.
  13. Quite a chilly month with a lot of blocking, potentially our first below average CET month. 10.8C and 45mm.
  14. 6C at 2PM is very impressive given the time of year. We hardly saw that in the winter lol. Barring today, this cool spell has been very pleasant. Most days were sunny and dry, with max temps around 9-12C.. reminds me a lot of April 2021. Next week looks the complete opposite, with mild rain on it's way. How exciting,
  15. raz.org.rain A very bold claim, thing is literally no one knows how the summer will pan out. LRFs, analogues, seasonals are aren't great tbh. Don't have to go back to see them failing miserably (July 2023, Winter 23/24).
  16. Don Not countrywide but in 1998, the warmest temperature here was 25C. That would be inconceivable in today's climate.
  17. raz.org.rain I think many are pleased that it's getting drier. It's the most optimistic I've been since January.
  18. For a 10 day chart, a pretty strong signal for a mid Atlantic block, making its way to Greenland. Virtually all members go for this idea. Shame we didn't see more of this during winter..
  19. danm Dramatic falls in temperature across the continent. Zurich was 26C during the weekend, now 5C.. exceptional. Over here, it's sunny but only 8C. Still feels quite chilly under the strong sun.
  20. daz_4 Vienna has seen the first half of April average 16C, with most days in the upper 20s. The cold spell will definitely be a detriment to new foliage but it is finally going back to normal after such a prolonged heat spell.
  21. Daniel* A remarkable switch to something cooler, this would've been a notable cold spell in winter. I wonder what triggered this response.. At least it looks dry. The CET will tank if frosts occur, what a strange month this is coming out to be.
  22. raz.org.rain Ain't really a warm spell, more like a blip. Uppers during the weekend only make it around average. Of course, with clear skies it will feel pleasant. The outlook afterwards puts us in a pretty chilly picture, hopefully it isn't the dull kind.
  23. Scorcher True, forgot to consider the strength of the sun at this time of year and possible inversions. Mild days in the mid to high teens likely. Nights would be chilly though if skies clear.
  24. Temperatures at Rostherne showing 14C .. a measly 8C at Manchester Airport. I'm guessing that's due to a localised shower, that seems to bring the temps down quite a bit.
  25. Can't recall seeing graphs like this in April since 2021. Both chilly and dry. Down south are seeing quite the period of below average temperatures.
