  1. Not sure NES, looks like they might be some milder air at the end of next week but still met office not fully sure and are also talking about cold returning so all still good to me. I am new here, been watching the forums for years but not contributed until the last week or so. Love the snow, love a good frost but I guess like most on here also so look forward to hot long sunny days.
  2. Driving rain and a freezing wind that has really picked up over the last hour or so in Guisborough. Maybe might see some sleet / snow later but not confident.
  3. A big thaw overnight in Guisborough , heavy rain in the early hours of the morning just created a slushy floody mess. Bright now and not overly cold, not much shower activity. Interesting week ahead I think, maybe one or two more surprises, especially overnight.
  4. Settled now in Guisborough, a little bit of Sleet falling but a really memorable three hours of heavy snow has left us with around 3-4 inches on the ground. Maybe another surprise from BBC on its way as they are forecasting sleet until 6pm and then heavy snow again from them until 6am tomorrow morning - now that would be interesting but can't see the beeb coming up trumps again. Definitely 100m above sea level helps, Redcar had rain / sleet today.
  5. Still hammering down in Guisborough, a good 3 inches in parts now. Roads starting to be closed, impassable in Guisborough, Skelton, Lindale etc. Definitely unexpected.
  6. Bbc forecast for guisborough Sleet showers from 4pm Heavy snow from midnight until 6am. Cant see that happening though the heavy rain showers we are having are starting to turn a little sleety / hail. Maybe they know something all others don't, or maybe they are talking rubbish again.
  7. Still snow on some of the cars from the showers overnight, had about a centermetre last night. Expecting a pretty cold night tonight, not sure about much snow though.
