I do find the weather apps a good way to spot temperature trends as they are interpreting the model data, interesting that day 10 the temperatures have risen by 3 or 4 degrees in the last couple of days, the temperature trend is upwards for Southern England.

The latest models are looking great for Scotland over the next two weeks. Nothing much to shout about for England & Wales though. Maybe February will bring better winter fortunes for us all.
-
No doubt with all this talk of opening pub beer gardens in March, we will find any spring like weather soon disappears from the models!!!

Meto O finally catch up with what the models have been showing for a while now!
-
Yes for whatever reason their longer range forecasts always seem to be a couple days behind the curve.
-
We had a frost this week!!
-
Looks like winter is over then, models looking good for a big warm up!

Historical? Maybe in the deepest mountainous regions of Scotland!! -
The models are pretty much in agreement that the cold weather is set to leave the UK shores fairly quickly early next week, with an early taste of spring for some of England, low teens possible. Looks fairly dry moving forward with some chilly nights, though mostly above freezing across the entire UK. Ties in nicely with the school holiday down here anyway!

The models have further firmed up on the milder trend for next week, large parts of the UK into double digit temperatures by early next week. -

Honestly somewhere in Southern England could hit 15 degrees next week! Those southerly winds next week have a long fetch on them, nearly a Spanish Plume!! -

The models have been pretty consistent with the cold snap ending at the weekend for the majority of the country and continue to firm up on the idea. -
Set the bar at zero and then you won’t be disappointed!

Meto update mentions rain showers across western UK and Scotland next weekend, so could be quite a widespread warm up by the sound of things.

Not strictly true, forecasts for the South West suggesting milder air on Thursday now. -
Yes these forecasts do cover a wide region, seems quite progressive though.
