My video of last night's thunderstorm over Northamptonshire, UK.⛈

During the early hours of Sunday 22 August 2021 A band of heavy showers with some embedded thunderstorms moved into Northamptonshire from the south west. This storm brought a nice light show with quite a few bright flashes of lightning and a couple decent rumbles of thunder.

My video of one of today's thunderstorms that hit Northamptonshire, UK.⛈⛈⛈
The afternoon of 28 July 2021 saw a relatively small but intense thunderstorm develop just outside of Northampton and came straight through Wellingborough. The storm brought sudden torrential downpours which gave poor visibly and localised flooding. Loud rolling thunder was present throughout the entire storm although not much lightning was visible.

The afternoon of Tuesday 20 July 2021 saw a rash of thunderstorms develop over Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas thanks to the recent hot weather over the last week or so. This storm brought rolling loud thunder with a few decent lightning bolts, strong winds and heavy rain.

Hot weather continuing for much of this week with 30°C+ looking achievable every day up to Thu on UKV 15z. Plenty more sunshine to come with maybe a possible thundery breakdown by the end of the week.☀⛈

ECM 12z going for some potentially very hot weather as we go into next week. 850hpa temps getting close to 20°C in the south which would bring surface temps well into the thirties if it verified.
An extreme outcome & 10 days away so unlikely for now.

Thunderstorms are likely to move up from France through Wed night into Thu. The main areas of interest are the SE/EA but some models show storms further west especially on UKV. Significant uncertainty on the track of these storms so this will most definitely be a nowcast. All eyes on skies & radars!⛈

UKMO for a second day really going for some very hot weather for next weekend. Upper air temps touching 22°C in the far SE. Would bring temps to the mid 30's and maybe high 30's not out of the question if this were to verify.?

A mental run coming from the UK Met this evening. VERY unlikely to verify anything close to this but overall there is the ongoing risk of stormy conditions through Wed/Thu for the north and Fri in the south.?
