Not sure how reliable they are but the 3km snow charts on real weather seem to show those heavier showers over the borders moving down into this region at about 10pm tonight. Mind, I’m not the best at reading the charts.

First really good shower of the day here, big fluffy flakes for about 10/15 minutes. headed over towards Washington now PM

This really made me laugh. I’m sitting in the barren wasteland of despair. Have learned a lesson though, never ever tell a 6 year old the snow is coming. My head is battered

No snow this way since 7am but met office just issued a new warning to last until Friday. Got to hope something comes up on radar for us as doesn’t look anything promising at the minute

Nothing much here and skies look pretty clear. I’ve realised I’m quite fickle though. Decided that was the end of my excitement now...until I come on here and now I might have another 24 hours hope in me after all lol. Need that gap in the radar to close every south Tyneside to bring some more showers though.

We’ve had a couple of little showers in the last 20 mins, a mix of flakes and graupel. I might have been hoping for more but positives from this for me have been learning a bit more from this forum, and finally convincing the other half to build a window seat in the bay window seeing as I’ve been sat here for days ha. Hopefully we get some decent stuff over the next 48 hours for everyone.

Are these showers looking likely to hit where I am? I’m starting to think I’m getting it all wrong looking at the radar .. which is very possible lol.

Just had a few mins of grauple which covered the roads and paths, now snowing really lightly but flakes. expecting it to stop again any minute lol.

Not looking good for here. Met office now only forecasting light snow, and everything on radar going above or below us.

Showers all seem to north and south of here. I’m in the big gap in the middle lol.

Ah took an hour out to do some orders, thought I’d come back to loads of promise on the radar and reports of snow elsewhere in the region. Dissapointing, is there any hope left!?

Light covering here, heavy shower about 8ish and a couple of light showers since. Kids wanted straight out for a walk, wind is bitter. And both kids on their backsides within 5 minutes lol. Quite excited to keep watching radar and hoping for more coming in!

Hope you’re right. Saw your picture of the street turning white so went to check hoping mine would be the same. Not a drop haha.

Well I spent the last week convincing my dad it was definitely happening, it was going to be proper snow. He’s spent today taking the mick out of me. He’s just sent me this he wrote Forum Guru on the net, I still can’t get my sledge out yet. You showed me charts and promised a beast, But nothings coming from the East. I told my family what you said, And showed them maps with yellow and red. But now they think I’ve lost my mind, And send me gifs that are unkind. I thought that you were in the know, And that is why I paid for pro But now I feel that I’ve been had And have to face my smirking dad So please have one last look for me And say it’s coming from the sea. So plot your models, let them go And give me now, my bloody snow!
