  1. raz.org.rain But would it be sunny warmth or cloudy & wet warmth? Really craving some sunshine. @baddie Would Easterly winds give us sunshine? I don't know much about SSW's other than that the last few we've had have totally wrecked my favourite season- Spring They fill me with dread as they seem to be like gambling your months (or seasons in this case) wages on the roulette
  2. Since I first started being interested in weather, this is honestly, for my area, the most testing, most boring, most depressing pattern of weather to be stuck in that I have ever experienced. Since March 2023, Unrelenting, persistent & never ending grey sky, unapologetic & forever looping bands of rain, month after month, saturating the ground like a bowl of cereal left submerged in milk. Late May & June was like a chorus of angels in a void of nothingness, the 1st half of September was a euphoric wave of paradise rippling on the white sand of a desert island before a tsunami pulls everything back under and into the darkness. A couple of fleeting breaks from the pattern...the pattern that never ends. Add to this, yet another late season Sudden Spring Wrecker (SSW) for the 2nd year in a row that will no doubt strangle the life out of another Spring like a 50 foot python crushing it's prey, it is looking bleak. The end in sight from the death grip of a weather pattern so dreadful, so abysmal, so utterly Unrelenting is still about as far away as the Voyager 2 space probe. The forecast continues with exactly the same cloudy & wet conditions that have barrelled into us, like a forever perpetuating pendulum of hopelessness. And now....another SSW.... Good evening folks!
  3. Cor, you literally cannot go one day on this forum without people going on about climate change. I have no animosity to you guys fearful of the climate but i'm bored of it. I joined this forum for the laughs and banter about our poxy weather & it was a fun place to moan and share experiences & frustration! Now, it's just like reading through a BBC article. A lot of the fun has been zapped out of the forum and replaced with negativity. Maybe time to chip out of here but I will continue to post my sun tables for the fun!
  4. Every time I look at the cloud satellite, it's always the same 2 poxy places hogging all the sunshine- Cork city in South West Ireland or Aberdeen in North East Scotland. When did these 2 locations become the sunniest in the British Isles??? LOL.
  5. Ewww, the sunny spells for Friday & Saturday have been replaced with yet more effing cloud, more effing rain & more effing garbage depressing gloomy waste. PATTERN CHANGE PLEASE for the love of GOD!
  6. February 1st-20th sunshine Pretty dire for most still! 🌧🌧
  7. Imagine my shock when I woke up to yet more rain & grey skies this morning! Apart from a couple of Spring like days, this month has been woeful.
  8. Metwatch always find it odd how May struggles to reach the 30c mark. We haven't touched it since 2005 in my area!
  9. In Absence of True Seasons Walking the dog today at the local country park, even the gravel paths were waterlogged in places! Can't escape it Looked like walking through the mangroves lol.
  10. sunny_vale Always find it odd how the clocks change in late October (a month just after the equinox) but they don't change again in late February (around a month before the equinox). I think it would be quite nice for the sunsets to become an hour later from late Feb rather than waiting all the way til late March!
  11. After last nights rainfall (and more today), we have breached the 50mm mark for rain once again! That's now 17 months out of the last 19 in my area that have had over 50mm of rain. This has to be a record or at least near record. Absolutely unreal. Hunga Tonga volcano effect??? I'm blaming the guy that created the "worryingly dry" thread- as soon as that went up, we had nothing but sodding rain Can someone create a "worryingly wet" thread please? Maybe we will get 17 out of the next 19 months being dry then!
  12. I think what the UK needs this year is a really wet Spring. This drought we are in is unprecedented! Swear we had 1 or 2 dry days this week which is not normal at all but luckily for us, we are back to the relief of non stop drizzle again today. I can't bear the thought of our wonderful bogs drying out if we were to go a week or 2 without our rain. I don't wanna live in a world where I don't sink into the abyss of a giant puddle while out walking the dog! Also we need a very dull Spring too because we've had far too much sun lately despite 4 record breaking cloudy months. I fear the terrifying scenes of lobster people roaming the streets after being in the sun so it's a relief to see that vibrant grey sheet dominate our landscape for months on end! Let's hope our glorious wet & dull theme continues ad infinitum right guys?? .....Guys?....Oh.
  13. After having one of the dullest March's on record in 2023 along with one of the dullest July's & dullest December's, we are now having one of the dullest February's too! What a treat! Seemingly non stop rain too, lovely jubbly! The UK has been the dumping ground lately for all the undesirable & grottiest weather.
  14. 1st half of February 2024 (1st to 15th) Reminiscent of a milder version of December 2023 so far. Hopefully the 2nd half will feature a bit more sunshine?
  15. You know what we're way overdue? A really nice & sunny early March! We haven't had a sunny start to March since 2015 in my area which is an obscene anomaly. Let's hope this putrid wet & dull dominated pattern breaks finally in a week or so & we get a run of exceptionally sunny months!
  16. This is probably the most Autumnal February I have experienced. It would be a crying shame if this pathetic excuse for a month ended up beating the amazing Feb 2019's record average max temp. Although I can understand Winter fans didn't enjoy it, Feb 2019 for me, was an amazing month with tonnes of sunshine. Complete contrast to this dark, dull, windy, wet pile of cack which may end up taking the record lmfao. As I have said many times, temperature is irrelevant to me, just give me sunshine! 1 degrees & sunny is far superior to 13 degrees, wet & overcast!
  17. Shows how boring the UK is climate wise, even Texas have had snow lately Amarillo with 6 inches of snow the other day! I wish I had been born in America- tonnes of sunshine even in the darkest months, snow in winter, guaranteed Summers, every landscape you can imagine, with every state each being so different! Although wouldn't want to live too close to Yellowstone in case it ever decides to go boom! But damn, they got it good over there! Meanwhile in the UK, grey, wet, grey, wet, grey, wet...
  18. Frigid Another late SSW just in time to annihilate Spring. Would have been fine with it if it happened in early January or something but having one this late means I am fully braced for a soaking wet Spring devoid of any notable sunshine. If it created a couple of April 2021 style cold, dry & sunny months I will forever forgive the SSW but that's about as likely as me being able to swim the pacific ocean with anchors on my feet. Late SSW's suck.
  19. Those beautiful skies from yesterday have been replaced with that all too familiar ugly greyness. What's the point in having 14/15 degrees if it's gonna be overcast. What a waste! Hoping to get another day like the one in Mondays picture, sooner rather than later.
  20. February 1st- 10th sunshine This does not include the 11th & today. Figures reminiscent to December 2023 so far unfortunately and after a lovely day today on the 12th, not yet included in this table, the forecast suggests these figures will not increase too much at all in the next week at least! *disclaimer- Although great care goes in to creating these tables as accurate as possible, accuracy can not be 100% guaranteed due to many factors including different sunshine recorders, device locations and lack of stations recording sunshine.
  21. The first Spring like morning with a pleasant temperature, sunshine, birds singing and an all round uplifting feel. Unfortunately looking like being the last for a while though as we are plunged back into Maraianas trench levels of light again from tomorrow so better make the most of today!
  22. Raining again. The land of perpetual Autumn Also noticed that apparently we've had yet another late SSW (sudden Spring wrecker) occur? That's Spring over before it's started then. Great lol.
  23. The past 7 days in London have accumulated a grand total of 36 minutes of sunshine! That's 36 minutes out of a possible 3960 (and yes this figure is only daylight minutes)! Pathetic is an understatement. This dominant weather pattern is, in all intents & purposes, utter garbage. Other countries must shake their heads in disbelief at the lack of sunshine in the British isles!
  24. ANYWEATHER Haha if I see anyone mentioning "drought" or "needing rain" at any point this Spring & Summer, I will explode lol.
