I miss all that beautiful sunshine already! 3rd day in a row of completely overcast skies with another forecast for tomorrow. Weird how when you get a spell of sunny weather it feels like it goes very quickly while even a few days of overcast feels like weeks lol.

Really enjoyed July up to this point but for the final third of the month, it does looks like being warm but with about 90-95% cloud cover. Only potentially sunny day in view is Sunday.

Beautiful continental feeling day here with no cloud interference from sunrise to sunset! Have been in the garden all day, enjoying my day off work in the pool!

Really been enjoying this summer so far, only downside is those thick clouds love turning up between 2 and 3 here on a regular basis to eliminate the sunshine!

Surprisingly nice day today. Forecast was for it to be cloudy most of the day but the sun has been out plenty!

Beautiful day over here in my area also! Some nice cirrus clouds at the end of the day too looking like a flock of giant birds!

Very nice day today so far, plenty of sunshine. Strange how met office and BBC both have completely contrasting forecasts for next week in my area. BBC is going for a mostly sunny week while on the other hand, met office is going for an absolute cloudfest with hardly any sun other than on Friday. How can they be so different! Hopefully BBC is more correct lol.

Did not expect to see an ugly wall of Stratocumulus today! At least a 2 to 3 hour covering too lol.

Blue skies finally arrived since about 4pm and looks good for most of the week now. Surprised to see a full day of cloud forecast for Tuesday but other than that, should be a mainly gorgeous and sunny 7 days or so and with any luck, most of July haha.

I don't think I've ever known Met Office to be so consistently wrong with cloud amounts. They are saying overcast today and yet its beautiful, with hardly a cloud in the sky. They also said the Friday and Saturday just gone would be mainly cloudy and Friday ended up OK and Saturday was gorgeous. They're also saying every day until this Saturday is going to be mainly overcast. Would be surprised considering the high coming over us! Hopefully they will keep getting it dead wrong and it keep turning out nice lol. Just never known them to be so inaccurate, they used to be really reliable.

Well, Met Office were indeed wrong...but in a good way this time! I moaned earlier because it clouded over and it looked as though a big sheet of grey was on its way but it instead turned out beautiful!

Don't know what the Met Office were smoking when they did their morning update for Southend. They now have almost totally sunny skies from sunrise to sunset when in reality, there are clouds up there the size of Texas along with a full day's worth of cloud approaching on the satellite Truly shockingly inaccurate forecast lol.

How accurate are the long range Met Office forecasts? Just looked at it and it's an impressive prediction of mainly high pressure the whole month once this begins next weekend, barring a small blip mid month. I would take that right now if i could lol.

No probs man. I just keep track of it all in my own spreadsheets lol. Here is rainfall so far for heathrow-

I pray to god that this does not happen because i have the last 2 weekends and 1st weekend of August off therefore i would go absolutely mental in rage if this happened!

June 2022 comes in 4th place (since 2007) for Heathrow, for amount of sunshine with a very respectable 212.2 hours. Overall I would say a very decent month for the South East. My one complaint is that most of the best days were when I was stuck at work!! Lol.

What is that weather app? I've never seen one with a prediction for hours of sunshine before!

I find it bizarre that we can still get decently sunny days even when stuck in a big green trough! 2 days in a row here with good sunny spells despite the horrible looking charts.

I can stop moaning now lol. Went to Southend seafront and there was hardly any cloud down here for the rest of the day. Amazing how much difference a few miles makes!

My word! The clear blue sky forecast today has been made a mockery! Literally 90% cloud cover now!! How can they get it so wrong in such a short space of time. Also loving that the middle of July is predicted to be gorgeous when that whole period I will be working but holidays either side when it could be unsettled. Wonder who I have angered to get this bad luck with weather recently lol. Oh well, hopefully their predictions will be as terrible as today's forecast.

Hmm, pleasant enough day today but for a forecast of clear skies, there is an obscene amount of cloud up there. So much so, that I'm only having about 1 minute of sun followed by 5 mins of cloud, rinse and repeat. Also the clear patches on the satellite keep filling in. Cloud- please do one.

For once, the forecast said it was gonna be worse than it actually turned out rather than the other way round! Been a pleasant surprise consisting of plenty of sunny spells here even though the forecast said it was gonna be a major cloudfest lol. All in all, a decent summers day.

Unfortunately I was working the whole lot of them although I did manage a few hours before work.

Massively. Especially when the forecasts give you a glimmer of hope, putting one sunny day in the mix and then downgrade it to cloudy the very next morning lol. Got the 1st weekend off in July too and that one is looking just as bad at the moment haha.
