  1. Ohh nice.... just popped my head through the curtains.. the heaviest snow fall I have seen all winter. Which isn't saying a lot to be honest.. nice all the same... light to moderate... this evening's tyre tracks from traffic passing by are now covered.
  2. Okay just read through 10 pages of the model discussion... phew... West vs East... who will win? Only one way to find out FIGHT!!!! Seriously for a moment though I am liking what I see in the ECM and to a lesser extent the GFS it looks like we could be heading back into the freezer sooner than we think. In the reliable timeframe I am starting to have my hopes up for this weekend. :good:
  3. Evening again clee_snow, fingers crossed for some more this evening, still a bit thin on the ground here for my liking xD Immingham looks it could be fairing better.
  4. Moderate snowfall here earlier for about half an hour so, everywhere is white now. Still unmeasurable HA, but hopefully will keep the temperatures down this evening. Haven't had a frost here for more four days or more.
  5. look set to see some moderate snowfall by perhaps 6-6.30pm. Very slow moving, so once it arrives may stick around for a good hour or two.
  6. Rain radar looks good for areas North of the humber, might just make it across to the south, can't see how it could miss here tbh it just seems to keep building. However, in the past I've seen these die out as the sun goes down so not keeping my hopes up too much! As for the present, its been snowing constantly here for about the last 3 hours, however its the thinnest, sightliest snowfall you can possibly imagine.
  7. @Ian Suffolk Now at this point I'd expect somebody to say 'right that's it I'm moving to Boston!' - could be anywhere though. Happens every year on one thread or another \o/
  8. @KentishKiwi I yearn to see that sort of again two years on the trot. Doesn't seem likely this year though for anyone.
  9. *steps into the East Anglia party* Hey guys! Don't hog all the fun! Seriously though, what rate of precipitation are you guys seeing? Here in Northern Lincs its just been the occasional very-light flurry.
  10. @aaron First time I've looked at the radar today, seems quite interesting. If the main band can develop just 50 miles north of its present position then I'd be happy. EDIT: The wider rainfall radar here on NW on the front-page shows a little bit further out-to-sea and there seems to be more to come.
  11. Haha well this is very funny thread... I see the reason to bring it up... but hey we can't just pick them up and move them around. Even if we could the whole world would have to join in
  12. Yeah it was snowing here earlier as well.. @clee_snow just poked my head through the window - nothing lol Like was posted above, its fine here on the coast - cold enough -its just that its so light if you blink you'll miss it. Let me have another look now that I just read what you have posted.... *dum de dum*.... nope nothing here in Humberston falling. <plug> Perhaps whilst your lamp-post watching you might wanna check out the 2nd link in my signature, especially if your over 30 it might bring back some fond memories. </plug>
  13. A few flurries here as well... very very light stuff blowing in the odd gust of wind - nothing to get excited about atm.
  14. Nothing to get too excited about yet Andy, its just very light rain. On a positive note there is some hail thrown in as well so certainly edging towards the snow threshold. Still early, perhaps something better might happen overnight, but I wouldn't bet on in it reaching inland locations until perhaps late Tuesday and into Wednesday.
  15. I hope for something a little below average so will take a punt at 3.5.
  16. 18z GFS has upgraded snow on Monday and into Tuesday for this region.
