  1. afternoon every1, just come online and n-w and metcheck tell me the temp here in grimsby (by the sea!!!) is currently -5, so that means it hasn't raised since by first report early this morning around 3. this is truely colder air and am very surprised by this!
  2. morning every1, travelling back from middlesbrough to grimsby my car thermo recorded these temps in these locations, which rounds up to the nearest .5. as i travelled further south the temps dipped a couple of degrees below the bbc's forecasted temps on a number of occasions, yes for the town/cities which is frankly to be expected, given the bbc's record. hope these extra cold temps hold off that breakdown well into the weekend, nice if the easterly actually won the fight for a change! i can but dream mboro: -0.5 thirsk: -1.5 york: -2.5 kexby: -3.0 south cove: -5.0 humber bridge: -4.0 melton ross: -4.5 kirmington: -4.5 keelby: -5.5 grimsby: -5.0 lots of rolling fog in many locations even here by the coast and over the bridge which hopefully will bring down SSTs in the north sea. looking good.
  3. just driven back from middlesbrough home to grimsby, coldest my car thermo got was -5 on the a19 near the north york moors, parked up my car at -2 here in grimsby. it makes a change to see the temp here joining the rest of the uk, considering grimsby is right on the coast :-)
  4. shuggee, i watched a forecast yesterday from the beeb, you couldnt make out the snowfall over scotland, but if you looked across towards norway you certainly couldn't miss it!
