Been reading through. I live in East Midlands now, was Surrey this time last year. Just slightly NE of Loughborough. I am gonna call rain here. I am prepared to be found wrong, maybe a tiny dusting at best.
I think, looking at the models I am just out of the sweet spot.

At the moment anywhere east and south of birmingham in does look like the sweet spot but one run can totally change that i remember march last year here in coventry we had nearly 8cms of snow and not a met o warning in sight
Yes. My point exactly. I am East of but I suspect too far north of Brum. As I say, I will not get excited til I see it. Had enough false starts already, this winter hahaha

I honestly wont believe it til I see it!!!

Frost and clear skies forecast here, through the week.

We have only just moved up from Surrey which has been pretty bereft of the white stuff in recent years. I think it's just me. If I moved to the North Pole global warming would suddenly increase!!!

Now I don't want to raise hopes as it's a little difficult to tell in the Moonlight, but, along with an incredibly heavy frost, I think, and please don't take it as gospel, we have had the finest covering of snow.
And as the council decided to grit early yesterday afternoon, before it rained, roads and paths will be lethal.

Snows deep! Just let the dog out and had to send him up the step ladder to get to the garden. He said he may be some time!

I agree! Today showed so much potential for my location. The wind had totally screwed it today. My PPN no need to originate near Lancaster!
Does anyone know of any counselling groups for people consumed by snow!!!

Bar from Shaky, they only seem to come out when we have a major snow event.
I posted a lot in the summer. I will try to be more active in here throughout the year.

These are model based though. Radar is correct in terms of ppn, but the ppn type is determined by the conditions that were predicted at that time.
Ok thank you. I am still learning stuff.

Wouldn’t bother.....they’ll be nobody there LOL....Sorry, I haven’t seen a flake myself yet!!!
There seem to be very few East Midlanders here. I came up from Surrey and that thread was always busy.

I fear most of us in the east of the region will miss out as it is heading too much in a SE direction.
I think we should campaign for an East Midlands thread lol

NW radar says snow for us now. Sorry radar, it's just rain.
Even my brother in Sutton, (south London/Surrey), has had snow today.

Suns out again

Ppm just started. Just rain so far.

Yes it sure would be best outside hahaha. It wasn't very expensive, maybe £90 or £100 but it was all I could afford. We shall look into it at the weekend.
Thanks for you reply

Yep. It’s really this evening where the fun begins for the north and west of the region. People already writing it off before it’s due to begin.
Though on the basis of runs, maps and stuff, East of the region May be a non-starter.

OH just text from work up the road and asked what was going on as gritters out in force. I told him no panic, we shall have rain which may well freeze.
He's just Notts side of Notts/Leics border. Home is just Leics side.

About 2-3mm ppn here going on that chart. Rain I guess.

I am not bothering with other threads. They are all so bloomin' rude, especially about the Midlands thread.
I personally am still undecided as to whether I will see much snow.
Clear blue sky and lovely sun today.
