    this afternoon there was some heavy showers with nice downdrafts around brandon/bury st edmunds around 3 to to 5pm. no lightining .

    @SnowBear hi I agree with most things u have said on your post. I think if the met office didn't name storms like there do it would be wrong in people eyes there would be complaining so unfortunately whatever the met office does it wouldn't be right.

    I have just drove back from worksop to Norwich in a van and the wind as picked up high gusts chucking the van about.

    Major flooding this morning on the river wensum and around Norfolk the rain as eased off but now a cold wind.

    the heavy rain as arrived here at norwich been heavy for probaly an hour now lots of flooding on the river wensum.

    Jersey met as issued a red warning this afternoon for winds and for flooding.
