  1. I'd just like to 2nd 3rd 50th 175th the comments made above regarding Snowking's post. To take the time and the trouble to set it all out in layman's terms is marvellous, so thank you. Today, the surfboard has stayed afloat whilst it rides the waves of excitement unhampered by the tumultuous swell of disagreements. It's a joy and a pleasure to be here ladies and gents. Long may it continue. And may my knowledge grow in your warm embrace field of expertise.
  2. Hi Sheldon, I saw your previous post where you stated you are only 13. It's great that you interested and taking part at such a young age, even if you are not getting it quite right at the moment. Keep up the interest lad and in time your knowledge and experience will grow. We can then start to hang on your every word, like we do many others here. Good luck with your GCSE's btw, I'm sure you'll do just fine.
  3. Well I for one am not looking for snow in the next two weeks. I'm looking for seasonal weather... which the synoptics appear to be pointing at. Some surface level cold. A bit of mist or fog. Some sunshine. Probably some rain. A raise in temperatures will absolutely happen. A return to crisp cold mornings. And snow on Christmas Day (yes and pink unicorns and all that). That for me makes an acceptable December. I don't want end to end snowfall. Just a taster of the early season and a promise of more to come.
  4. Dear God, please let it happen and get to lower levels. The Missus has pencilled that day in for Christmas Shopping. Not a bad start to winter, eh? It's only the first week of December. Lots of potential. Lots of fun on the rollercoaster.
  5. Haha, will certainly be the case here. Can't wait to build my frostman tomorrow morning.
  6. Reading back it looks like we are not in the snow game here tomorrow in Baldock. Anyone South of London wanna put me up for the night tomorrow.
  7. Temp here 4.3c and dewpoint 1.3c Rain showing on radar but nothing falling as yet. Location: Baldock
  8. I think it's an afternoon/early evening event. You might have to pick him up early if the school shuts. Now in my day... haha
  9. Thanks Chris I have an Oregon weather reader from Argos. Well actually my wife does, but what's hers is mine, right? It now says 26% humidity. I wonder why the reading would be wrong and how I can fix it.
  10. Trying to work out my dewpoint. My temp is 3.9c My humidity is 24% So dewpoint -15c. Does that seem right?
  11. Just looking on the forecast page. There's a prediction of sleet turning to snow at 6am and staying as snow through to midnight. Where did that come from? This is for Saturday, sorry.
  12. Thanks mate. We didn't do so well out of the last lot. Snowed but never settled. So fingers crossed.
  13. Kold I love you. Not gonna propose marriage though. The missus might not approve. Thought Norf Arts might be in with a shot.
  14. Looks like good potential for snow in my area all this week. Surely we must get something out of either tomorrow, or Thursday, or Saturday or Monday or Tuesday next week.
  15. 2.7c at the moment. Had snow this morning. Didn't come to much but good to see.
  16. Who turned the heating off? It's gone down to 4c here. It had better snow if we have to suffer these cold temps.
  17. What the Actual frack is going on in here? Clearly the threads aren't monitored during spells of quiet weather. Well it's a shame, because I could get more sense out of my grandkids right now. Here's a song for you.
  18. Got a load of snow last night, but thaw definitely setting in. All I've got in my head now is 'do you wanna build a snowman'.
