  1. Hello. First time in 24 hours that I've looked out of the window and it's not snowing. Still enjoying my 1cm of snow. Looking forward to this afternoon, perhaps the powers that be will let us home early.
  2. Looking at the radar I reckon it will last until midday. Tomorrow we could be in the money and get a better covering. Fingers crossed.
  3. Good morning everyone, we have snow in Stevenage but very light flurries in the wind. Our snow depth has improved overnight from dusting to icing. Reckon we got 1/4 of a millimetre.
  4. Got a covering here now. Looking out the office window it's starting to ease a bit.
  5. Well snow should be starting now........ ...........and GO! nope nothing. Bahahahaha
  6. Sun has gone in, so it looks promising. Sun has melted my dusting though so if it snows there is nothing to stick to.
  7. Only have a sprinkling here in Stevenage. Any chance of the showers coming in hitting here?
  8. I can see a shower coming off the North Sea with yellow and orange echoes. Just skimming past Norwich. Only 100 miles to go... and disintegrating all the way... but if it keeps it's current track... it should arrive in Stevenage around lunchtime... and deliver a snowflake. Fingers crossed. Off out to enjoy some of the cold weather... ie make my way to work.
  9. Pretty much on a par with what Saint just said. Thanks mate, appreciate it.
  10. Cheers. What's the chances of getting out of going to the mother-in-laws on Saturday?
  11. Zilch. Nada. Nothing. Nuffink. Sod All. But that's just me. Good job those who got some snow.
  12. Hey! Good to see you got snow here. But many in the North London and EA thread didn't. There doesn't seem to be a strong knowledgable forecaster in there either. So would someone like @Nick F or @Steve Murr mind coming over and updating. i'd rather know that I'm not getting snow than waiting and waiting and waiting and......... Thanks Carry on............
  13. Had a snow shower at 10am. All done now and bright sunshine. What to do with this avalanche of food now.
  14. The models are more volatile that Max Branning. And considering his track record we'd be better off doing a Dot Cotton and having a cup of rosy lea. Added SSW means Jack s**T in respect of whether we will get snow. May as well have the models go up to T500 as it'd be just as clear.
  15. Happy Mothers Day to all you mums. No snow today, just checking in to report last Friday. Were lucky? to see 1cm of snow fall in approx 2 hours. Kids were tentively waiting to see if schools would close and at 8.45am snow was at its heaviest so rang school, shut. Snow was really heavy at times but had stopped by 10am. By noon had turned to sleet and then rain. By mid afternoon all had been washed away.
  16. Snowy showers today in North Herts/Cambs whilst out on my travels today. Whilst driving North, from home, big black cloud to the west seemed to stretch away westwards as far as eye could see, but was very narrow band. Snow was mainly pellets but occasional flakes mixed in. Temp here now -2C.
  17. I would say this snowy spell has come to an end now. Although it has not rained today (makes a change) there has not been any precipitation since 3pm. All snow has now melted. The shower at 3pm was so light I could count the snowflakes. Can also see across to next village now, which was under a haze all day yesterday.
