West Midlands: Herefordshire Warwickshire Worcestershire Heavy Snow 1800 Tue 5 1100 Wed 6 Outbreaks of snow will turn heavy this evening and overnight giving fresh accumulations of 10-15 cm in places and perhaps locally in excess of 20 cm. This could cause widespread disruption to transport. The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the Highways Agency for further advise on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads. whoo :-) went back to work today after the Christmas break, got to my office in the centre of Birmingham at 9.30 and everyone got sent home at 10!! thought it was a bit extreme myself but the roads around here are lethal. Moderate snow here and long may it continue !

Hi, do you actually see us getting much more this evening? I am pretty happy with what we have had so far. I live near Clent and can normally see Dudley, lost that now so guessing heavier snow is on its way over :-)

still snowing and settling here, giving a nice covering but would need it to continue for quite some time for anything decent

hope you are right, we managed to hang on to more today than I thought we would. Maybe with this top up we will keep some for Christmas morning

stopped here now, lovely top up :-) though I am with TEITS and believe it will all be gone tomorrow, temps are due to pick up from tomorrow onwards - this actually backs what the GFS was saying at the start of the cold spell, that the breakdown would occur around Christmas eve. I am still happy though, really early in the winter and a good few days of lying snow, can't complain :-)

I hope so Blizzards! lost quite a lot of the lying snow today, although the garden still looks very pretty, would be great to have a top up!!

snowing here now, light but reasonable sized flakes and settling readliy on all surfaces :-)

snowing here, has been for a while, as i left work in Northfield at 5 it was chucking down with snow when 10 mins earlier it had been raining. All surfaces very wet though so only sticking on cars/grass etc. Fairly heavy though !
