    I don’t think there’s much in it to be honest. It’s around the 7th/ 8th for a change.

    I think the models are starting to line up more than yesterday. Looks like high pressure building definitely in line with the met office wording. The good news is the met do mention snow. Beats all this rain mild muck we have endured! ️

    I think peoples impatience is getting the better of them. It’s not even January yet. Folk on here have great understanding and knowledge. If you can look at it from another angle we could all be sitting talking about mild / rain setting up. The fact it’s going to get cold should cheer folk up. Keep bringing the knowledge but also with patience. Happy new year. ️️

    Has the met not stuck to the same wording for weeks now? Or I’m I missing something? High pressure developing. Then a change to much colder weather by mid month? Ok deemed low but still have said by mid - month. Not start of.

    The met office seem to forget the central belt. Already this will cause a hazard. Pelting down! Should have had the warning out yesterday.

    It’s now saying heavy snow here in Glasgow to 1pm. Could Mount up lol. Then washed away by half 1

    Started snowing here in Glasgow. Good to see before it turns back to rain later. Hopefully 1st week January we see more places getting snow!!

    That low is already nearly at glasgow. Heavier stuff not to far behind it. Says it’s not going to get above 1 until 2pm. Could be some snowfall soon.

    Is it me or is the low further inland than the models have showing? The 18z showed it arriving at midnight around the very far south of Ireland! But it’s definitely further inland. If that arrives through the night we could see alot of ️

    If that low approaches quicker then could be heavy snow fall.

    I can’t work some people out on here lol. I don’t think I have seen a 30 extended forecast like the one we are seeing right now for a very long time… The models hopefully are starting to see the high pressure developing. I think I can speak for the rest and say a 4 day cold snap in the uk nowadays is classed as “Wall of snow “ lol. The fact the met are banging the drum for some significant cold is very very unusual. Enjoy. ️️

    I would say definitely an upgrade from the met office. Cold frost calm weather! I will take that before something more spicy heading into January. Bring it on.

    Judah cohen blog worth a read. He mentions the cold weather spreading to the UK next week. I hope further into January we will see a change.

    What I’m struggling with is the met have for a number of weeks said this pattern will change mid January. It’s the 28th December. If anything we won’t see a change until around 2 weeks away.

    That’s quite a significant drop in temperatures from this morning. The 27th up here showed around 8 Celsius. Now it’s showing 2 Celsius at 1pm. Hopefully tomorrow run start heading into the minus. Wishful thinking.
