  1. Hope to fianlly have a day with more than 8 hours of sunshine, depending what time it clouds over. Its currently beautiful in Nottingham
  2. Please give us a sunny and dry second half of August, September and October. Just so we dont offset another deluge (e.g after a dry September, then a wet October), they should give us a months worth of rain in a couple days from thunderstorms, around September and again early October, and that should make way for lots of sunshine, to make up for that soul-crushing March, and the mediocre April
  3. Going to be warm and partly cloudy this week. Hope to finally see a day with more than 7/8 hours of sunshine, which we havent seen since July 7th. I hope BBC is correct and doesnt water down the sunny days between the 16th and 19th
  4. 33 days 15th January 2023 - 16th February 2023 30 days 13th May 2023 - 11th June 2023
  5. By thr time we actually get to October, it would be a repeat of somthing like April 2020 or February 2019 or March 2012/2022 or something that will make this October juxtapose the awful March and July, and the meh April (possibly August too).
  6. That heatwave is likely to be only 2 days and will probably come crashing down to poor conditions and then back to settled again. A bit like what we seen in April, with 4 days anticyclonic, 4 days unsettled. 4 days anticylconic etc. Along with average sunshine and temperatures. All I can say is better than March and July
  7. Ik September 2012 was sunny and a warm first third, but it collapsed dramatically. The second half must have been one of the coldest ever, as it caused the month to be a degree below average. The storm on the 24th was horrible, though otherwise dryish I liked October 2016 too as it was dry and bright, not feeling too cold at all. I didnt like the end of the month as it was cold. It sjould have just continued how it did the previous week, with warm, sunny says and chilly night. Quite a spring-like month if that was the case
  8. August 2008 and Seotember 2012 were both dire September 2016, 2020, 2021 was better than 2014 I would love to have a repeat of October 2016 or 2018 (except the end), both were actually good for all parameters
  9. My ranking of Augusts since 2011 (Best-Worst) August 2022 - An amazing month, heatwave between the 8th and 14th, and the end was also good too. Very sunny and dry, few T-Storms August 2016 - A very good month, making up for the poor June and meh July that year. There was some good heat on the 24th, and other warm-ish, sunny days throughout August 2013 - Another good month, and a huige improvement from the run of bad Augusts. A hot start, then calm later. Sunshine near average August 2019 - An wet month, though the hot spell at the bank Holiday made up for it. Though, there was many good sunny days throughout. It only rained on 8 days, though was still above average August 2018 - Overall a decent month, thuogh turned unsettled after the hot start. The last few days were also decent. All parameters were average August 2020 - A meh month, dry first half, with a hot week from the 6th to 12th. There was a good T-Storms between the 16th and 19th, then not long after that became putrid. The last 7 days was the worst and coldest I seen since 2014. A wet month, 150$ of average rain and dull, 80% of average sun August 2012 - An okay month, though still wetter and duller than average, though better than June and July that year. Therre was some good sunny days in the first half and hot on the 18th/19th, though therwise, rather putrid. Temperatures near average August 2017 - Once again, not very great. Sunshine and Rainfall near average, but still cool. I remember the 8th being unseasonably cold and wet. Some warm days late rin the month, around the Bank Holday August 2015 - I thought this was a boring month, with a lot of rain and cool temperatures, also rather dull. Better than the previous August, though still not good. The hat on the 22nd was the only reason I wouldnt put this below 2021 or 2011 August 2021 - It was dry, buit in other ways quite disappointing. Didnt get above 23c at all that month, and was very cool in the second half, though at least usable. The sunshine was lacking, with not much above half of average (Nottingham recorded around 60-65%). A bit like 2008, but less rainfall Auugst 2011 - A hot start, though afterwards very boring, dull and cool. Sunshine was also below average, with above average rainfall. The 26th was absolutely diabolical, only 13c in Nottingham, almost typical for November August 2014 - An awful month, especially after that ex-Hurricane. The second half must have been one of the coldest on record, as it struggled to even get past 18c. However. there was a warm, humid start. The 25th was the worst day. 8th Wettest August on Record and temepratures 1.5c below average. Surprisingly, Sunshine was above average (only by a couple percent), despite this early arrival of autumn (September was warmer though)
  10. When the maxima for Saturday is almost average for November, that is concerning. Luckily the last two thirds of August will be settled and hopefluly warm EDIT : Looks like Thursday 10th will be reaching 25c in Nottingham, something not seen since the one nice day on July 7th
  11. Disgraceful is an understatement for what we will experience on Saturday, It could possibly be my coldest August day ever. This would even be dire for November-February. Reminds me of those dire, dull days in November 2019, where my garden was damaged and flooded, and part of my roof ripped off from the winds. Could also give me those vibes from that gnarly June 2012 or 2019, with those single digit temps and relentless rainfall
  12. Tbh I dont like cold Februaries. Febs like 2008, 2019 and 2023 were perfect
  13. I remember those downpours on the 20th and 21st October. this defines awful.
  14. February 2010, 2013 and 2018 were all cold
  15. September was dull and otherwise average. Nothing special. October was very sunny and mild, though rained a lot. November was mild, but in otherwise awful. Last autumn was not that great I think September will be similar to 2020 (Warm-ish, Sunny and Dry(, After 4 wet Octobers, I think this years would be the driest since 2016, and mild (not quite as mild last years, though some 20c days). I think that this October could break a record for sunshine, similar susnhine levels to a normal April. I think November would be something like 2017, being slightly colder, drier and sunnier than average
  16. Also last November saw an exceptional 21c mid-month
  17. More so an Austrailian Style Christmas, where its summer there
  18. Probably a 0.001% chance of it happening. But I think something similar to February 2019 record breaking heat and relentless sunshine would occur in the last week of October, allowing an exceptional 25c Halloween
  19. But think of it like that February 2019 freak, sunny weather, but in December
  20. Imagine if we get an exceptionally mild Christmas, with maxiams reaching 18-20c. You would be spending the day outside in the "early spring" sunshine rather than inside drinking hot chocolate, like with all those grey Christmases we had.
  21. It will be true unless that settled weather for the 2nd week onwards is cancelled and replaced by August 1912s horror. Hopefully not
  22. This would even be miserable for 5th October, 5th November, 5th December, 5th January, 5th February, 5th March or 5th April. This is just diabolical and depressing for 5th August
  23. Saturday looks to be the coldest day since April 27th, only reaching 13c, how disgraceful for August. The following weeks forecast looks meh
  24. I feel like we were stuck in a loop this year under this pattern : January - Decent February - Very Good March - Poor April - Mediocre May - Decent June - Very Good July - Poor Whats next, August being mediocre to continue the pattern, I hope its "mediocre" would be a lot better than that trash month we just endured
  25. They were still wetter, cooler an duller than average. A month being in light grey for sunshine or light blue for mean maximas are still poor
