  1. True. I don't understand this obsession and need to critique what other people are doing.
  2. Yes, been a lovely sunny day with only light winds. Would have cut the lawn after the dry week but frosts to come next few nights.
  3. Time to get some more conditioner on the Aigles.
  4. Properties in the Nottingham/Lincs area are still waterlogged, some of which haven't flooded in a hundred years, they're not all beside rivers. I haven't mentioned any freeze, deep or otherwise. RE: guilt tripping. As there are near daily whinges about heating bills, directed at anyone who hopes for normal winter weather, and have been since about last November, it seems odd that one remark about flooded homes should instigate an accusation.
  5. I'd guess that people who've had water in their homes haven't found it particularly "useless".
  6. My post was about my own health issues, where excessive heat can lead to breathing difficulties, which is why I have medication.
  7. The health guilt-tripping about cold weather is rapidly becoming as tiresome as the tales of woe about heating bills. The constant sniping at the posters in the Model Discussion Thread comes across as a frustrated urge to enjoy some sort of oneupmanship. And what's the criticism of "one-liners" all about? Their use is perfectly natural when replying to someone in what's called a "discussion". Do these people only ever communicate by the use of lenghty speeches or rambling soliloquys?
  8. I suspect the air may have travelled a fair distance to get to London, not that i'm there anyway. Fired ours up yesterday.
  9. Lovely clean fresh air instead of that soggy mild muck.
  10. Didn't notice, just seems to be going on every day.
  11. Exactly what I thought, but some seem to enjoy moaning about people more instead.
  12. It's acquired its own dedicated commentary thread now too.
  13. Silver lining? If it hadn't been mild all autumn and winter, to date, everywhere wouldn't be so wet.
  14. Same place as I was the last time I replied to this question. Seems that way.
  15. It's no more tiresome than the condescending oneupmanship aimed at that thread from some contributors to this one.
  16. Another mild "winter" day, so naturally it was wet and dark for most of it.
  17. Early December some posters were hoping it would be mild until the end of March!
  18. Tend to agree. Rain wise I think it's worse because it seems to have been almost constantly wet since October ( I don't keep records, that's just a guess) which was the last time I was able to get out fishing, as the local rivers have been near or actually in flood ever since.
  19. So mild we've had to have the lights on nearly all day again.
