  1. Out to the 14th and cold extended with some very low temperatures especially mid wales
  2. Still all up in the air regarding significant snow to Wales next week. Some models show the chance of snow increasing by the end of next week still but could be pushed south or north and could just be plain old rain.
  3. Of course Andy im keeping my hopes up hoping for some transient snow. Or maybe even an upgrade or two
  4. Its updated again. It says turning milder with rain or showers by the weekend. A cold start to the period with strong eastern winds. Heavy and frequent snow showers are likely across northern and eastern areas, especially over north eastern England and eastern Scotland. Nevertheless, plenty of bright sunny weather is likely further south. There is a small threat of persistent snow and rain across parts of southwest England, most likely on Wednesday. As the period progresses, remaining cold or very cold with brisk winds, but turning milder over southern and southwestern areas. Outbreaks of rain and showers are likely across western areas, whilst mostly dry and bright in the north and the east. Further snow and attendant wintry hazards continuing to affect northern areas but becoming increasingly confined over higher ground during the weekend
  5. Hard trying to keep up with the model thread. Havent had a chance to look through all the southeast waffling....Hows it looking now? Weather apps show it turning much milder with rain by Thursday!?
  6. Yeah it won't happen like that. Will probably be sluggish to even make progress in line with what metoffice are saying. Potential is there for significant snow
  7. There has definitely been a trend westwards for PPN. Warm sector gets into the far southeast of England on some runs with rain
  8. To be honest any more snow in this area will be a bonus, 2 weekends in a row and 2 decent snowfalls. I would be happy with a nice cold dry biting easterly wind over a southwesterly with drizzle anyday
  9. Looks like the cold spell is brief for the southern half of the uk as low pressure is swinging in from the east. Snow risk increasing by end of next week but cuts off that easterly and midler weather eventually wins. This is how its looking at the moment and hopefully it changes. Scotland and northern england remain in cold winds with very high snow risk till at least mid feb
  10. Yeah to me it does look rather dry and cloudy but some decent sunshine in the west. Risk of flurries in mid and east wales
  11. Mad thread seriously doing my head in been on this site since 2005 and I've never seen such snowflakes in all my years I've been on here
  12. A few pictures and a video from yesterday's snowfall. 2 miles down the road it did snow but no accumulation at all. 20210131_120320.mp4
  13. looks like the band is going to clear south wales in about an hour i could be wrong but radar showing a break which could be it
  14. Temp hovering around 2c here with heavy snow dont want it to go any higher otherwise it will mix and turn to rain
