  1. The models are on drugs tonight, crazy, haven't seen anything like this.
  2. Incredible charts again! Surely downgrades from here on in?
  3. Superb MO outlook for much of the uk. It doesn’t get much better than this.
  4. More beautiful cold charts this evening. Yes some wobbles up & down but to be expected nothing set in stone but will be the coldest spell we have seen for some time and increasing chance of snow..
  5. 2010 was great here...had around 7inches which stuck around for weeks
  6. I wouldn't worry too much about snow at the moment. We need to get this cold nailed on and delivered first. Then the fun and games can begin. Any regular on this forum knows snow in this country always comes down to nowcasting and radar watching. Oh and i certainly wouldn't call it "marginal" looking at the upper air charts
  7. Ive never seen charts this cold. Ive been posting here since 2005. I can't really remember any memorable cold before the year 2000.(I'm 26) So matching 2009/10 if colder charts.
  8. Extremely cold charts continue to pour out this evening. Lets just hope we actually get something special this year. Winter could go out with a bang.
  9. If we get that serious cold pool the models are showing then yes the chances of snow will be increasing and anything falling from the sky will be of snow. Im hoping for a classic low pulling in moisture and maintaining that easterly. Thats where we get our largest snowfall totals out of. Could be something rather special ahead for many of us
  10. That met office extended 6-30 days forecast is the best I've ever seen tbh The weekend will be mostly dry, with frost and freezing fog patches clearing to give cold days with sunny spells. Snow flurries may develop across eastern and southern areas where a brisk easterly wind will make it feel bitterly cold. It may be less cold in the far northwest with some rain possible. Into next week it is likely to turn colder with brisk easterly winds, giving a significant wind chill, especially in the south and east. This will give the risk of further snow flurries, which may become heavier and more widespread. There is also the risk of more significant snow pushing northeastwards across southern and some central areas. The north and west will be brighter, and it may be less cold across the far northwest at times.
  11. Avoid the MAD thread going nuts in there at the moment, plenty of one liners and booms, toys out of pram tomorrow morning me thinks!
  12. To be honest at this stage i wouldnt mind the models going mild with some early spring warmth! I think we have had the worst part of winter !
  13. Ive seen more warnings from the met office in the past week than i think all of 2017 ridiculous. Scotland looks nasty and needs an amber i would suggest though
  14. We've had this setup many times this winter and it hasn't delivered anything to south wales apart from the odd flurry. Its looking dry for much of the day
  15. Sorry but i cant stand these PPN charts they are inaccurate, especially 216hrs out !
  16. Hopefully sunday will bring in more organised showers for a time as we've had bad luck so far with these showers with most areas having a dusting at best.
  17. Is that the old student village? I thought they knocked them down!
  18. Snow shower left a dusting. Looks dry for remainder of day now..shame
  19. Pembrokeshire dangler coming back to life in past half hour
