A nice Pembrokeshire dangler this afternoon setting up...shame its rain!
Had enough of reading the model thread too. Im sorry but theres a lot of junk in there right now. Don't understand why people are posting snow cover charts +384 hours out and getting excited then throwing the toys out of the pram when it disappears , can't look at it anymore
A nice dry day but feeling colder in that wind. Seems to have become lighter that wind now. Had some cold rain last night mixed with some hail , that cleared and we had some icy conditions.
Some tree damage around Gower and outskirts of Swansea area but nothing too severe. A pretty standard gale in this area with a top peak gust of 79mph at Mumbles Head.
Very calm here. Big spots of rain coming down and temperature 17C. Calm before the storm. Very very interesting to see what station will see the highest gust. Stay safe folks.
Totally agree with this. Wales, especially the western coasts can expect a very rough 24 hours ahead, As i mentioned a few minutes ago , i would not be surprised to see gusts to near 100mph on our shores.
Certainly looks like a damaging wind event for southern ireland and i wouldn't be surprised to see areas like Capel Curig/Mumbles Head pushing 80+ with an isolated 100mph somewhere near irish sea , maybe W Wales maybe eastern ireland coast.
Looks like there will be some torrential downpours in places today but looking very isolated and spotty, but i wouldn't be surprised to see some local flooding and hail from these storms could be nasty for some
The low pressure swinging into the southwest tonight looks like it will be bringing some pretty heavy rain for SW England & Wales. Wouldn't be surprised to see some hail and thunder thrown in. Forecast is showing a squall line move through.
