  1. The lamp post is picking up some very small wet flakes at the moment
  2. Winds will soon veer westerly and temperatures will begin to rise across the Southwest, i reckon it will start with sleet before quickly turning to rain. Coastal areas rain throughout , Turning very windy too I think some places in Mid Wales & The Midlands still in the firing line for some significant accumulations in the next 24 hours
  3. For all coastal counties in the South i would expect a lot of rain tomorrow , snow looks very likely from id say Merthyr Tydfil northwards with significant accumulations
  4. Snow showers continue in the same areas like last night, had some light snow earlier but yet again missing out
  5. Looks like i have! I tell you what every time i make a visit to Brecon to see the snow, We get a dumping back home so heres hoping!
  6. Just got back from story arms in Brecon and it was pretty good, some areas id say 2-4inches. Car reading -0.5C. Bitter wind blowing and frequent snow showers in the area. Back into Swansea and sleet/hail showers temp, 4C. Edit: Snowing quite heavy in Swansea now!
  7. Shower in your area , anything falling from it ?
  8. Just had a light hail shower, feels freezing cold out there , wind is bitter
  9. Temps still not great, even in sennybridge only showing 1.5C , but shower activity seems to be on the up
  10. Right everybody do the snow dance , lets make it snow
  11. xcweather shows winds staying northwesterly until late saturday night where it becomes milder into the south and west
  12. Far too mild for snow still here, although this could be because of the wind coming from the milder irish sea. Does anyone have charts for the upper air temps at the moment (they were forecast to be -7/-8) Winds are still westerly , hopefully they turn more to the northwest...as for snow north wales and midlands look like firing line for 10-20cm overnight
  13. Had some light rain about half hour ago it was gorgeous to see light rain falling haven't seen that in so long!!!
  14. yes will be all down to watching that radar...waiting for met office warning update. Looks like they will focus more on mid and east wales though. The mountains are going to get hammered i reckon
  15. This looks poor for the Far south and west of Wales i must say!
  16. Funny how warnings are out for Western Wales however most of the PPN forecast is for North/Mid& East Wales thursday night/friday
  17. looking good...sunday looks a mess. Mid-north wales looks like getting a decent amount
  18. I hope so, how would this very cold air assist shower development? Sort of like lake effect snow?
  19. Is there a front moving down friday night? Looks like northern and eastern areas look best for snow showers whilst the west stays dry?!
  20. I would make the most of friday/saturdays cold, mainly dry weather with a chance of snow showers as next week looks very wet in the south
  21. Probably the most interesting model watching since 2010 i must admit. Interesting times ahead
  22. It would be nice to see a pembrokeshire dangler set up and push well inland friday/saturday with some heavy snow showers, asking too much now
  23. Guaranteed models will flip again in the next 24 hours and it will look completely different though
