Nothing major here yet in swansea....just an average gale...

Gusty very strong winds but few and far between with quieter periods..so far

50mph gusts here now at 6am which sound very loud and scary already

Morning . Here in swansea we have gales...increasing every hour now up to 50mph so we can expect near double that by 8am.

All schools and non essential services will close tommorow with swansea council advising people to stay home. The worst of the winds look to be over by noon here.

Yeah or late tonight. And I agree most of that warning is out at sea

Bbc app goes for sustained gusts of wind above 80mph for 4 hours here I hope not

Yep agreed...anything over 70mph is nothing more than frightening

Been a very wet and windy day here with gusts into the 50's mph for most of the day. If things stay on track for Friday...I would expect some red weather warnings for Friday and widespread school closures/disruption

Mumbles Head is about 5 miles from where I live. I live further inland and winds can be up to 25-30mph less here.

I'm travelling by train Friday at 9am to London from Swansea....its not looking good and I'm very concerned about traveling and the disruption

Remember it well... had a very short lived spell of 90mph+ winds which was very scary

Snowing heavy in greek islands to sea level and we cant even get a bloody flake what is going on

The weather has been so good the last few days, mist , some fog, plenty of blue skies, widespread frosts and bright sunshine.

There was a fantastic cloud to ground lightning strike last night which was followed by some very heavy hail. Today has been very wet with heavy rain.

Interesting battleground of mild and cold coming up....im sure the next 24 hours the models will get a proper grip on which one will win.. All to play for and alot more up and downs to come. Model thread is pointless looking at right now.

The squall is approaching but it doesn't look too severe. I think the winds will pick up later this afternoon as the storms eye comes closer. Tommorow looks to continue very windy for southwestern parts
