I've enjoyed this dry cold spell. Looking further ahead some models are only going mild for 24-48 hours before a colder north /northwesterly takes hold again. Here's hoping -
A few flurries or spots of rain at best from that stuff in the southwest I reckon

The sky looks very convective I'd say inland areas might get a covering today if these showers keep going. Still -1c here in the shade.

Got to -2c here nice sunny morning. Looks like some precipitation coming into North Wales right now

It looks like it's heading south perhaps brushing southern/southwestern England, certainly at this stage it looks like its sliding if it does that...if it doesn't it will head to France and keep us in this pattern we are in now

The winds turn more northwestern tommorow, so maybe a higher chance then even though most apps are showing dry , cold and sunny. Next week is looking very simular at the moment...very dry, cold with showers peppering the North, west and east of the UK.

I see Pembrokeshire dangler is in full force this morning ! This is something we haven't seen for a long time! Some might do well from this next few days. All depends on wind direction and temperatures though whether some northern and western parts see some flurries.

Im curious ... Whats everyones temperatures today? Its 3.2C here and really struggling to get past 4C. Metoffice says it should be 5C here but i dont think we will make that today here.

Looks like only north wales and the very far west of wales will get some showers, with eastern areas staying dry although this could change again

Ill happily take this dry and cold weather coming up now! Its looking like alot more sunshine for us now which is better than mild and drizzle! Looking forward to some frosty mornings. Oh and not looking at any PPN charts, pointless. Get the cold air in first then we will look at them, wind direction will also play a part in what areas get PPN too.

Yep. We had persistant heavy snow showers for about 2 nights running. I remember one night it being incredible, Very heavy snow showers, 50p flakes and it built up fast. We had about 8inches here. All from the pembrokeshire dangler. Something we havent seen since then.

It's nice to see it getting colder but for most next week looks generally poor with cloudy conditions and showers, some mountain wintryness and feeling cold.

It's getting worse in the MAD Thread l. Talk of the worst blizzards since 1963 ...get the cold in first then worry about snow at this stage

Yeah models look good at the moment but we all know that can change. Some really silly posts especially 300+ hours out. Id be happy with some drier days, hopefully some sunshine, frost and fog. It does look quite chilly next weekend with temperatures struggling at around 6-8C by day.
