Day 27 of No rain and unbroken sunshine here in Swansea, what a spell of weather this is -
27 Days we have gone without rain here in Swansea, With almost unbroken sunshine everyday. Its becoming a very unusual dry spell here.

North of Swansea. Been angry looking all day but not a drop of rain here.

Towers going up to the north here but I think we will escape any showers. Its been a very dry few days here in Swansea

Yep. Strange day. Some places have had a real soaking. Now it's SE turn tonight could see quite alot of rain I think. Rain here in south Wales didn't clear till about 5pm. We were supposed to get sunshine from midday but that developed at about 7pm

Big fail on that convergence line mentioned by bbc last night

A very unsettled day of weather here in swansea. Very strong wind gusts earlier to about 70mph on the gower coasts and mumbles with torrential showers and some pea sized hail thrown in for good measure. Its also been cold with a biting windchill.

Good while it lasted, gone very slushy and Melting now. Nice to see a good decent thick covering in years this morning.

Im not expecting snow past midday here. Dew points rise throughout the afternoon with rain more likely later than snow. But hopefully the cold can grip on

I haven't been outside but I'd say a good 5 inches. More where the wind has blown it around in places possibly

About 4 inches so far. Snowfall rate has been insane the last hour

Currently under a very heavy shower, roads totally covered now after snowing moderate for 2 hours.

Even if it turns to rain soon, this event has been better than the 2018 beast from the east here. Locally we only got a few flurries from it, Gower had several inches. So this event tops that so far. Crazy isnt it.

Tempeature has dropped 1 degree in the last hour. Now at 1.5C, still falling. Dew point must be below 0C now, Snow has become heavier and now starting to settle

Light snow blowing around in the very strong easterly now

It's 2.5c here and breezy. Looks like heads of the valleys and the beacons in for a pasting to be honest.

Amber warning definitely on the cards for North wales/Midlands northwards
