I thought it was doing something earlier this afternoon then I realised it was my neighbour burning something in his incinurator and the bits were flying my way
This is a tiny amount of snow
-
Just started to snow here
-
Heloooooo.
-3.0c now here in Broughton, would you say thats south or east MK?
gonna keep posting, don't wanna be a newbie for long!!
South East?
it's -1.1 here with a -4.2 windchill

How many Weather watchers are there in Milton Keynes here on Netweather?
There is me, and one visiting me ATM, we've just been for a walk round and about, Haversham area, we are freeeeeeeezing.
*Waves*

Actually it was me who said it was like a blizzard, i drew Southernman's attention to what was going on outside.
I am quite sure that anyone else on seeing those conditions would have said as well "it's like a blizzard"
I am going to ignore your sarcasm, it isn't necessary on a weather forum.
I'm trying to educate. Oh well, as you were..............
-
To be fair he did say "like a blizzard" which isn't as bad as claiming that it's an actual blizzard.
indeed, but wind speeds like that aren't even nearly blizzard like
-
Lizzie does it really matter.
It's inaccurate, this is a weather forum, some of us would like to know what's actually going on. if there really was a blizzard somewhere I'd love to know as they are very rare here, especially in the south.
Everone reporting blizzard like conditions probably don't understand what one is.

XCWeather site is showing winds of 30 MPH and higher off the East coast with moderate snowfall.
This would constitute possible blizzard conditions. As a result I would attend to agree with the posters from the East coast of Suffolk (Ipswich area).
At the moment the wind speed in Ipwich is 9MPH, highest gust recorded today 12mph.
-
Like a blizzard here now !!
35mph winds? visibilty down to 200m? Really?
-
come to ipswich its a total white out
Did you read it?
-
Doesn't look like a blizzard to me
-
OMGosh totally blizzard like conditions here in Ipswich for the last 15 mins or so, is this set to contiune?, this is great to watch, but i really need to be able to get to my mums tonight after work, no heating at my place!
-
Anyone else have a feeling that nothing is going to come of this?
I mean the snow we're supposed to be getting from the continent, not the showers.
-
2" of snow in Olney!!
When did that happen? and why did it miss us?
-
Well - I'm not really going with the snow into the evening and tomorrow thing. Looking at the radar over Belgium/Low Countries where it should currently be, there are not such significant echos. Nothing in the German news this morning about exceptional snowfall either. Looks like things will have to pep up quite a bit.
I agree, I'd be surprised to see much. Definately here at least.

Good Morning,
Had another dusting of snow during the night, possibly given about 0.5-1cm, it's hard to tell as the only non-snow covered surface is my car windscreen!
The lowest temperature last night was -4.4 degrees, currently it has climbed to -2.9 degrees.
Am I right in assuming that today and tomorrow I should expect much the same as last night, that being showers heading my way on the radar and maybe the odd flurry?
Snowed here at about 02.30, bigger flakes than of late, actually looked like snow rather than glitter
Can't have lasted very long.
Dog woke me and I just had to go for a look with the aid of the outside light.

B*ll*cks to this... why do I now have to post outside the Midlands thread. Whose idea was this? I don't listen to BBC Three Counties radio, because for a start I don't receive it very well and i'm not interested in listening the commentary on the Luton and Watford matches. Why???
Thanks for lumping North Northants in with this. Grrr.
You don't have to! Go where you like.

Yes and I sometimes look at Deanshanger but it has not been working recently! I put my sensor outside for the first time tonight for fear of it being nicked. Just hung it on the trellis outside my door and I am suprised at how good it is, all i need to do now is find somewhere for my anemometer and rain gauge!
Haversham!
-
tempertaure outside my front door is currently -2.8 degrees, which matches with local weather station. I am doubtful that temps will drop as low as predicted!
Newport?

every time there is a snow non believer a snow flake dies all together now ! "i believe in snowflakes"
tap your heels together and repeat "there's no place like Sunderland........"
-
Whats wrong with the north?
It was the 'just to confuse things more' bit
-
To get back on topic, do you think the Beeb may be playing Sat/Sun down? I am supposed to go to Birmingham tomorrow (by train) and I am concerned about returning home on Sunday.
see TEITS's fab post

I love the North, I plan to move up there one day!
Relatives live in the Alderly Edge area. However, to further confuse things, I was born in Scotland!!
