The lightning detector is picking up lightning all around me but I cant see or hear any.. :o

Iam going to Cornwall on the 28th!!!

I cant hear any more thunder now so looks like this storm went over london and missed my house grrr, I wanted to see it

Got woken up at about 6am this morning with loud rumbles of thunder and the rain was immense!! it was so heavy, couldnt see the lightning tho as my eyes were stuck together hahahaha.. now can hear rumbles of distant thunder again, looks dark over bexleyheath way, wonder if this is the same storm that UkStormChaser has just reported??

EDIT my god just has a massive flash of lightning right by my bedroom window, and the thunder shook the house like a earth quake!!! fantastic!!!! ive uploaded some lightning footage of this storm in the photograph section

storm passing now over erith kent at the moment ive got some video and pics, will sort them out and post them as this is a good storm quite alot of CG's!!!

yesterday at around 16:30 had a massive downpour of rain in sittingbourne, I could see at the top of the road what looked to be fog, but as it got closer I could see it was a thick wall of rain heading striaght for me, so I quickly turned all the headlights on etc.. and when this "wall" of rain hit my bus I thought the windscreen was going to cave in (and I was only doing 25mph!!) the rain came down so heavy that windscreen wipers couldnt cope, the wind picked up violently, sending this rain into "rain bands" and I thought I was in a hurricane suddenly!!! the road quickly turned into a river as well, really good freak weather lol

I saw the thunderstorm that went over the top half of kent at around 3pm, got some pictures from sittingbourne as it rolled over sheppy, apparently knocked the power out too.. The very last pic is of the thunderstorm that went over dartford about an hour ago, some good lightning strikes ... apparently some large hail with this one, and its now getting dark again and I can hear some more thunder

Had some heavy rain and few flashes of lightning in dartford around 9pm, but it looks like iam missing the main action by a couple of miles GRRRRRRRRRRRR -_-

Same here in dartford!! it been like early summer here the past few days, wonderfull sunshine/t-shirt weather cant believe its gonna be cold with snow on monday!! there must be some mistake????

I saw that too, was quite slippery in faversham around 3:30pm Did anyone see detling hill?? it was beautifully covered in snow, and wrotham heath/west kingsdown (which seems to be in some different world to the rest of us when snow is conserned!) was thick in snow too all day and wrotham was snowing all day as well!!! no where else in the area snowed all day !! wrotham is very wierd for snow

its starting to snow here in dartford

about 4cms deep of snow in dartford this morning, driving down the M20 was dangerous, heavy snow was falling and couldnt see the hard shoulder or the fast lane.. there is also fog on wrotham/bluebell and detling hills.. temp -1c a little pic of my garden

1.5c here in kent had a snow flurry at bluebell hill maidstone at around 7:20am, now its quite cloudy sun is trying to break through but its not doing a good job lol

been raining all day in Kent, very heavy rain between 2pm-3pm with sleet as well.. wind has really picked up also.. about 2c outside

Cold, calm and clear here... noticed the Met office have put out weather warnings of Sleet, snow or hail showers and icey roads for much of the country.. Also whats this about winds in north london last night?? i was so tired last night that I was dead to the world!! anyone shed any light on these winds??

its raining and getting some very strong gust, but inbetween these gust it goes very quiet thought i saw some lightning this morning in the wrotham area at 6:30am this morning but not sure

Yes it moved over, I see alot of these clouds, so they are known as gust fronts??

it had just chucked it down with rain, some squally gusts, no thunder or lighning tho.. Edit: its now blue skys, scattered cloud and lovely sunshine, definately the calm before the storm!!!

just take a look at this sky ive taken 3 pics so you can see the "line" of cloud right across.. What is that "line" called??

What??? iam just down the river and no flurries here its chucking it down with rain at the mo, very very windy last night, wind had dropped this morning but with this heavy rain there ahas been a few squally gusts
