  1. Seems like things may be much better this afternoon for us sparky. See what the day brings
  2. I can still see the inflow on the left of this cell but the interesting bit is beyond the houses to the north now. If I was out chasing, I'd be on the A1 to get a better view. Worksop area might be good.
  3. Cell development overhead. Moving west generally, but wind is southerly. Not rotation though. Newark.
  4. Small cell West of Newark now rumbling away. Developed a large core of rain looking at the radar images.
  5. I'm one mile from the town centre on this one, watched it form and heard plenty of of thunder coming from it. No lightning observed and no rain fell In my location but, I bet town is a bit soggy!
  6. Yes it did intensify as it moved East of the town, hearing half a dozen claps of thunder as it did so. Didn't see any lightning or structure though.
  7. 5 mins of heavy rain and a bit of hail, but nothing else from this shower now. Edit... Loads of Hail now!
  8. Had a couple of rumbles from the storm coming out of Nottingham. The radar shows the core of one pulse close to Newark, so I'll keep my fingers crossed it reinvigorates. Nice rumble of thunder again just now. No rain yet.
  9. Storm out Lincoln way, viewed from Newark @20:45 tonight https://www.instagram.com/p/B1rgs5CnrzU5UHEQSIXL5ocgdVyuUY3kNVmm7s0/?igshid=1ecn34zo121u2 Taken from the pub door you have to be safe!
  10. That storm to the east of Newark is now producing constant almost disco flashing lightening. Never seen anything like this for years. Thunder not to loud though, so storm probably 15 miles away from here?
  11. In Newark and watching storms pass by on radar to both sides of town. Not had anything though, not even a distant rumble from the new cell popping up to the east. Loads of time left yet though.
  12. Potential funnel cloud from the new cell between Lincoln and Newark. Definitely rotating cloud as it passed within a mile or so from Balderton.
  13. Possibly the top of the shower over the Leicester area? Still building too.
  14. Cap too strong around here for now. Patchy cloud, hot and humid 26.6c
  15. 0Under the storm right now. Torrential rain loads of intra cloud lightening and some to the ground. Constantly thundering. VIDEO0050.mp4
  16. The band of showers that passed through an hour or so ago delivered nothing to the ground, despite the radar returns. 29.4c currently. Overcast and very muggy like everybody else is reporting. Edit: big spots of rain now.
  17. Hazy now, and has been for around an hour or so. Nothing much happening out Nottingham way (wind from that direction currently) but skies clearing to the north of me. Blooming hot though, 30.8c on the thermometer.
  18. A bit of mackerel skies visible through the haze. 21.3c currently.
  19. Hi Polar Low, long time since I've posted. Hope you are well. Have you got the light snow flurry we've just had in Balderton? My current temp is -2.3c and falling. I'm off to work again now, but I'll be back on before the weekend. Wrap up warm everyone!
  20. Lightening and quiet thunder!! Now proper lightning and thunder!
  21. Echoes looking promising to south west of nottingham and we are now getting a shower that has made me have to fetch the washing in. Hopefully things are starting to kick off again looking at the radar for our area.
  22. Welcome to the Newark force field radar pic. Just got missed by the one south of me and the sun is shinning with a nice breeze. Fingers crossed for those coming from Leics area
  23. Happy new year. Been snowing here for half hour or so. Not yet settled on roads though. Current dew point -o.1c Air temp 0.8c currently. turned lighter and sleety now!
