    Hi Been raining here for about an hour or so now. Nothing heavy just steady rain. 21c and still humid. Did reach 25c just before the rain set in.

    Hi all. Had a thunderstorm here too in the last 20 mins. 6 flashes of lightening counted and shotgun thunder with 3 of them. Very heavy rain also. It was great!! Nothing showing up on the radar overlay other than rain ...strange.

    This is my 1st post in this forum and i want FULL membership ,none of your `i had a storm recently etc etc last week blah blah blah rubbish!! :lol: Let me tell you about the newark force field.....hasn`t failed for ages :lol: The big storms in the midlands the other week split and went north and south of me and nothing this week either ggrrrrrrrr (now for a deep breath, thanks for listening )

    Having a nice little storm here at the moment that is embedded in the rain band , strange that no sferics showing up on radar though. Had 4 flashes of lightening in 5 mins so far.

    Good pointer Waveform, For those of us that would like to see it, can you put the area to view into laymans terms please B) I remember the last comet show visible to the naked eye,i think it was 10 years ago, hale bopp i think. We were working on the A1 at night and the view was fantastic for weeks!!

    I just found this picture on my camera from last week, what a difference! Thats the Newark sugar beet factory in the bottom of the picture.

    Outside temp 20c 59% humidity pressure at 1015mb and falling slightly Light rain shower

    wind now coming from a more north easterly direction and the rain is constantly heavy. skies going so dark that the lights are going to have to be put on shortly!! Rainfall radar still showing the band intensifing as it works northwards.

    Hi everyone hope your ok. Its been raining quite steadily for an 1 & half hours or so but 2 big bursts of rain have just passed through blown on by a real gusty wind. No thunder heard yet though.
