Can confirm a rumble half hour or so ago. Small home grown cells seem to be forming just SE to SW B'ham area.
Currently CAPE values are at 900 and Lifted Index (LI) is between -3.5 and -4 (50 mile range)
And still, they keep forming.

Estofex has updated.....

Not a major issue, but when using Postcode zoom 'Overlay Places' will not work. This is using v4 of NW EX. On iphone 4 & on a reliable PC. It does not crash, error is it won't not show overlay for the city's. Overlay Places works ok without Postcode zoom (uk view)

Was thinking the same Bish, seems a strange divide on the west cells to the east; east being more unstable.
Saying that, the southern cell SE of Hereford has pepped up a bit, these are currently running into 1400k CAPE & LI of -4
Best things come to those that wait? <- I hope so

Secondary cell is forming from the Bristol Channel too !

Just a cluch of straws but a weak cell is developing out of the Bristol Channel bearing NNE. Good placing if it can hold together for the Black Country area(s)

So, just a few more hours to go till 5am when my Bro will pick me up & head down to RIAT!!
Weather - wise: conditions will be slightly cooler than of late with some low cloud for the first few hrs of the morning, this will soon burn away leaving clear sky's. 27c the max - but on a airfield it could get hotter!!
Had a great day there last year.
Thanks for the info about the water Jo, needle in haystack but ill look out for ya!

Its an anaprop. These been showing on and off today classic at 0740 this morning. (Midlands area) Using netweather extra radar.
A tip, use sat 24 (in IR mode) you will clearly see if any convection is happening. The cloud tops will be pin point white. This will rule out any anaprops.
-
....then will intensify, only when its past the midlands.

Confirmed by a few friends locally too.
