All the forecasts keep saying things are going to intensify here later & overnight, so it will be interesting to see how that mass of precipitation moves on the radar, I shall not throw the towel in yet

Whoever predicted 40cm is giving us men a bad name!
-
Couple of cm's here & mini drifts building up, but life is getting on as normal so far. Can't see any real heavy snow on any weathercams apart from the stuff thats already lying near Nenthead & that pic of Mold on here....must admit im dissapointed at the size of the snowflakes, I was expecting something juicier....then again the day is young & theres talk of things intenstifying later, so we will wait & see. Below freezing here at the moment
-
Nowt here yet & I can't be bothered waiting....the heavier stuff is only just approaching Crewe, Im off to bed & hope to wake up with it all white!! Ciao
-
Blowing a real gale here & temp is -0.2oC, so should stick readily when the snow arrives

Still having some snow here, and the lying stuff is being whipped around in the stron winds. Good luck to the bin men tomorrow, those lids are frozen solid! Lol

Hope to see some snow here by tomorrow afternoon/ evening if what I've been reading is true. The wind should blow the snow well inland, so I wouldnt be surprised to see it extending further West than some people are predicting
-
Still snow the size of a pin head around here, and a limited covering to say its been snowing since 8am! Gotta go to bed coz am on nights, but this is far from anything spectacular & its on a knife edge, the temp has risen from -1.5oc to -0.6oC and still the heavier stuff seems to be out West, just hope its still snow when it reaches here rather than sleet!!
-
Still snizzle snow, but it looks pretty outside, the heavier stuff seems to be hovering over Warrington area, so hopefully not too long now....... Temp here is -1,4oC
-
Oldham has been in the centre of a snow shield all day, how irritating!
-
Oldham dwellers ..i know nothing of the area and i have to move rthere or that area of ast mancs [pref high up though for obvious preferences] .I was wondering on advice because im told some areas are really bad .If any contact could be made for advice on areas that would be welcome.ta
Not bad where I live in Scouthead, pretty high up and lots of snow, or any other Saddleworth villages.......... look on www.nestoria.co.uk
Grains Bar between Moorside & Denshaw is extremely high & snowbound too

Shocked how big the flakes are, thunder, whiteout conditions now
-
Update, we have thunder snow, really squally. Hope tto get some pics on later
-
Sleet blizzard here, Temp now 2oC.......looks promising out West towards Merseyside, so maybe the real stuff is not too far off!
-
Had some pretty impressive thunder & hail showers about 7pm, left a good slushy deposit on the ground, but just seems like rain/ sleet at the moment.....

This is painful, everytime I look at the radar there appears to be a clear patch around the Oldham area & just over the hill in Huddersfield its been continuous snow
