    Very Heavy large flakes falling, depth 8-10cm this has been solid since around 9:30pm last night

    Still snowing in Barnsley around 5-6cm level snow now.

    Been snowing moderate/heavy since about 9.45pm quite a covering in Barnsley/Penistone about 5cm-8cm in places.

    Heavy snow here in Barnsley, gardens/cars already got about an inch covering and roads starting to turn white.

    Heavy hail shower then turned to snow at about 1.30pm, just the odd flake or two since then.

    Although the BBC radar isn't showing much around here we keep getting the odd shower coming through, its snowing lightly outside now.

    Its been snowing on and off since about 6pm but its just turned to big heavy flakes and starting to re-cover melted areas.

    Just light snow now but a good thick covering on the ground, snowmen all round in the morning!!

    After a slight lull now full on heavy snow again being blown around in a strong wind.

    Moderate/heavy snow for approximately the last hour, about an inch covering and looking out of the window its just turned into a blizzard!

    Just started snowing here in Barnsley, coming down nicely.

    Snow in Barnsley stopped at about 11:15pm leaving around an inch and a half of snow - now freezing solid.

    Heavy snow here in Barnsley for the last 45 mins, must be at least an inch or more on the ground and still coming down in big 50p sized flakes. Doc.

    It was the first time in a while that our outside WC at the back of the house had frozen up - the water had the cosistency of a slush puppy. Doc.
