is it just me or is there a new band just leaving Belgium that seems to be pushing a tad further north. Hard to see. Was up before watching sky and posting on iPhone
Just hope it doesnt die out before reaches here. Just before last post was getting breezy here but seems to have died off now.Oh and typical just noticed a finger of heavy rain reach up just after passing crawley on raintoday, possibly what some people were reporting in Guildford

Damn low clouds sky gone orange with street light glow and stopped raining. Cant see any more flashes atm

Can now see sheet lighting to South of me in Crawley, just started light rain

Just heard some faint distant rumbles here in Crawley while looking out of open window. Still a bit too light to see flashes, I think gonna slide past tantilisingly close to me but just out of view lol. Still have HD camera at ready just in case!!

not long got home from work in Tunbridge Wells. I usually drive back home to Crawley via East Grinstead, this time took A21 north to the M25, then West to0 M25 and then back down.
Soem very large cooking cells there and temperature variation was great. When left T.Wells was 20C, as drive up thru light rain dropped until I got to A21/M25 junction near Sevenoaks, it was 15C
Near Clacket lane was under the edge of one of the cells and was raining hard and temp in car was 13C... went south down M23 to crawley and when got here was reading 20C again!. Could feel the difference as I drove along.
Shame wasnt in crawley when storm hit... bloody typical! Always way
*Edit, also on http://www.raintoday.co.uk/ latest radar animation makes it look like all the cells being sucked into London

Some just taken in crawley, to the North, East and West. Seems to be heading back towards crawley here, growing?

On the Pease pottage hill looking north over crawley, while building seen over trees is Gatwick Airport and faintly can see the downs above Reigate and Redhill in distance

Just heard loud rumble in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, some red spots on raintoday too developing over us and crawley where I live

2 Rumbles of thunder just heard near crawley (not sure which direction came from. No lighting seen (as yet). But starting to chuck it down! Dark to North

Must be a hole in the cloud above me, had some intense colours pass over me on radar and had window open in my room for last hour and can just hear fairly light to moderate rain....
Not even rain wants to come to crawley
*Edit - Bingo i think the reply button triggers heavy rain because as soon as i hit it it started chucking it down lol

Was at work in Tunbridge Wells when cell passed through couple of hours ago with some nice large bangs. Have now driven back to crawley, and sun is shining and has got very humid and warm again, temp on car jumped from 18 to 20c in short time. Possibility of something else bubbling up as there is a lot of good cloud formations i saw while driving home

Mebbe a bit of luck when what looks like even heavier rain moves closer.
Noticing a very heavy blob of rain on radar just west of brighton, anything from this yet?

time to unplug my main computers, just saw a flash, lights flickered and my xbox turned on lol!
(thought the xbox 360 startup was thunder through my subwoofer at first - made me jump)

2 flashes so far..... as nanu said, seems to be developing near me..... most likely will move off and develop some more.
Iand i forgot to charge the HD Camera :/ Just put it on charge just in case so can uipload to Youtube!

Just seen a flash of lightning outside my window was not looking directly out but saw as i looked at tv near window. Possibly to east of me. So far no thunder heard in Crawley
edit looking at radar got a blob not too far from me which is getting bigger, so some hope for those north east possibly

Woah just searched through more of my vids and came across this screencap..... at first i thought it was lens reflection, but it is 2 stikes.
Dont even remember seeing trhat as i filmed it must of turned me head away for that

batch uploading a few vids onto my youtube now, the best ones have the biggest file sizes and are still uploading, so will take a bit of time for them to finish

Vids uploading slow, the 1st 2 not as much action, the better stuff is in the later videos. As they are 60fps hd videos, they are very large for the amount of time, so taking awhile to upload , and more to appar in HD on youtube

Looked out front window to south west and can see dark cloud are with flashes coming from it, so hopefully some more action

Still lots around here in crawley, seems to be growing as now filming to north and when i return to front window there is even more blackness to the south west.
Just missed a crasker of a fork on film, best one i see, .plugged in cam to upload and there it was

Rain getting up now, wind getting stronger, really fresh cool breeze coming in through window now. Some more footage being filmed in high def

I Suspect as the lightning is above or near the reciver the system gets confused and flashes up strikes where they should not be...... correct me if i'm wrong
