  1. Hmmm.... I have been wondering if the 18 inches in 1991 here was from a streamer, front or a heavy shower.
  2. The flooding in West Yorkshire is quite widespread. Been following it on Leeds Live, really suprised there's been no warning of the amount of rain. Live Leeds Storm Darcy weather updates as police block flooded roads submerged in water - Leeds Live WWW.LEEDS-LIVE.CO.UK Gelderd Road has been cordoned off by police after severe flooding
  3. I thought as much with streamers. Sadly Leeds is a little too north in the E/NE airflow! Still, hoping for showers a plenty to give a couple of inches!
  4. I'd be happy with 30cm. That would make it locally the deepest since 95. The only place I could get an accurate measurement on was my motorbike cover. Now as i'm furloughed, i'd just use the snow on the work car for a measurement.
  5. Locally 2009 and 2010 didn't beat a foot. Around 6-7 inches in 2009 (I think) and 7 inches in 2010. Hoping to see some impressive depths over the coming week or so. Can I get excited yet? I wonder if the potential is there to beat the Yorkshire Dump of Jan 95?
  6. I'd love 50CM AKA 1991 but realistically i'm expecting around 2-5cm from every shower that passes through.
  7. 2010 here gave me around 7" which built up over several heavy showers. 1991 and 1995 remain unbeaten. Bike covered in snow - evening of 6th Dec 2010 and the back garden taken the following morning.
  8. Does anyone have the charts for Feb 1991 that dropped this: I remember waking up to that. I'd love to see snow this deep again, though it'd likely wipe out the sky dish and lights when it eventually comes off the roof...
  9. Thoughts are with anyone in a flood risk area, really don't need it ontop of the pandemic. In regards to potential snow, what's the timeframe we're looking at? I'm furloughed for 3 weeks from 1st Feb.
  10. There's about 3-4'' here on the ground. Roads were not gritted either... I think buses in Leeds have stopped too and Tescos on Boar Lane was shutting.
  11. Steady, somewhat heavy snow here in Crossgates that's settling. Good luck all, looking forward to seeing some lovely snow pics later today.
  12. Could it be another Great Yorkshire Dump event? After that and the other suprise snow events in other parts since, I would think they're being very cautious.
  13. It is certainly going to be interesting watching the model thread this week! I'm a mobile engineer in the carpark industry working 3 weeks on, 3 weeks furlough covering the whole North East and North West of the UK. This week is 1 of 3 and it's mixed of interest and concern as to what happens next week and the week after. How's the Weds night/Thurs morning event look at the moment?
  14. Snow in Crossgates is very localised, I must be on the southern edge of it as literally 3 mins down the road there is zero lying snow. None of the roads have been gritted... As I'm an essential worker, I'm out and about. No sign of snow, though it is snowing tiny flakes in Stourton.
