Thanks for the info, did you monitor your temps before and during the precip? what was your temp before it started snowing, and what was your temp during the heaviest of the precip. thanks

Its funny though, shows rain but its dry not even a drop! Something aint right! theres no warming affect and sleet/snow even falls at 5c with dews below freezing and its 3c. I think it may be wrong

3.3c here but i think it may be a little wrong, if the temp gets to 4c then i have had it lol

Dont give up! :unsure: Time of the day means nothing with this scenario, even if it was night time, the cloud cover would keep temps up. Dont forget we have had hard frosts every night, ground temps will support snow. If it dont snow theres always..

netw extra latest radar zoom shows rain whats the chances of this happening? well for me 10/10 every time

I was about to say the same thing, happened last night the radar showed a shower over me with a dark echo, it wasnt until it passed over me 25 mins later on the radar until i actually got it! Some kind of anaprop is possible, which is not good. Temp dropping now so precip very close.

It looks fine from where im standing. Wind direction is crucial and its looking good indeedie. As we loose the feed off the north sea. temp rose to 3.6c this must be wrong i think. Doubt it v much!

Temps will rise 0.5c during the light precip, once the moderate precip hits you will see the temp drop down to around 1.3c to many areas, with around 0c possible too. Looking at the isotherm and the dew points, we have nothing to worry about right until 3am tomorrow morning... Dews stay at 0c until 12am-3am tomoz morning, with them staying below 0 up until 8pm tonight Dews

I agree it will keep pepping up, expect the heaviest of snowfall to hit around 2:50PM - 3:40PM onwards.

signup there great! paul has done a good job on the stuff they provide the new NMM models rock! Its v affordable too which is good. btw im a little colour blind, so i could still be wrong with the colours and the precip/snow radar

Hardly sleet now is it Temps aint brilliant at the moment for most places, its like +2.9c here!

My Forecast for today/tonight After a bright crisp start in many areas, cloud will start thickening from the North. A band of snow accross the central belt of Scotland, and Northern England will continue to push south, the heaviest of the precipitation will stay North accross central scotland pushing into the newcastle area. Any areas north of i would say the wash will see complete snow falling. Tonight gets interesting, it finally looks like it's time for yorkshire to get the snow. The band will intensify as it push's accross the region, falling as snow everywhere (even on the coast).. Some accumulations of upto 10cm is possible! Maybe more on the hills. Temps,Dew Points,Isotherm is fine. 850's go from -7 to -8 down to -5 to -3 as the main precipitation hits, but as we had seen the other night, this is not a problem. Dews and temps stay on the right side of marginal right upto 3am tommorrow morning. So lets just now wait for the snow! Snow Depths East yorkshire/Humberside: 5-10cm North Yorkshire: 6-15cm Other areas: 3-5cm

reef massive flakes here now and coming down a lot harder. saturation point is fantastic so there big flakes, waiting for the heavier pulse to hit me yet

Small dusting here in hull, looks like a fat slow moving showers pushing south and intensifying, could be an inch in this wherever it hits yay
