Skew charts are looking good for the North East today, Cape showing 0ver 900 however , Cape charts does`nt matching that figure, I'm still hoping for something this afternoon , I am in Gateshead again today around 500ft above sea level

Im away week after next week{21st July} next week , im off to my parents in Boston, Lincolnshire, for a few days im hoping for a good few days of storms Will be taking laptop with me , just in case nigel

Evening Roger Thats The North East for you lol, No storms for ages then well ive lost count how many we had since last week , lol Looks like the North East Shield has finally been broken

With all that rain there was no way i was getting out of the car, there was quite a bit of lightning too, but in the end i could barely see out of the car window , May be next time

As you can see how intensfying the rain was today, not vewry good shots cos , i was in the car, No way was i getting out the car in that lot

Sorry i forgot to mention i was at work In Gateshead when this storm arrived, place called Windy Nook {i love that name Lol] parts of the hospital were flooded , {where i work}

Not scrolled back yet Just got in from work and boy what a active afternoon we have had today> Started kicking off around 1250 this afternoon, lasted until around 1410hrs. In that period i counted around 15 loud rumbles of thunder, at its peak i was counting a rumble every 3 minutes, then itn started raining , ive never seen rain like that before, it was like a monsoon, torrential rain at times, Ive gust got back home from work , and my weather station recorded 16.6mm rain in that period, Looks like it could kick off again nigel

Lets get summer out the way first, But in my opinion for what its worth, im looking at a colder winter than last year , and last year it was the coldest winter in 13 years

Evening Rollo We never had any thunder here, but i went out , i was virtually on the back end of a storm going up the coast, i went the A19 then the A189 to Blyth, there was alot of surface water on the A189 , Never got any shots of any lightning, but heard the thunder im back home now,

in a place called Seaton Burn , just before i join the A19, im heading for the coast, possibly Blyth, looks like im on the edge of this storm

MARK I am currently by Newcastle race course, and it s as black as anthing towards the coast, im heading that way now, i have my laptop with me

Must be a storm near by Sky has just gone off, yet nothing showing on radars yet, we do have rain but no thunder , My mrs has just said she heard some thunder, i never, maybe taking the ear plugs{listening to meatloaf full blast doesnt help } out might help lol
