Head up to the parking area at the top of Sutton Bank. Huge view looking west/south west from there.
Great location to view from

Must have had some issues as you couldn’t see the weather warning map on Met Office site this morning
Still can’t view them

Alot of people repeating themselves today! Also seen a fluffy bumble bee playing golf yesterday
That's one clever bumble bee (forgive me)
Just been out for a little walk, enjoying the spring weather. Whilst I love snow I want the weather to warm up a bit now. The daffodils are coming out and blossom is on the trees. Even got some washing out

Nice cluster of thunderstorms around Durham. I guess after all the dashed hopes of snow in recent weeks, we can dash our hopes on a thundery spring instead.
Yes, looking good for Durham

No alixis..The met office are responsible for all the warnings on BBC..Meteo group do not issue them.
You are correct Mattwolves. BBC use Meteo group for their forecasts but weather warnings are issued by the Met Office.

It's been on the outskirts of Darlo for over an hour, just keeps moving east,
Can someone give it a nudge over the A66. It's painful to watch but feels bitter outside so we might see something soon

I'm on it, but looks like it's died out. It may intensify again. Not as beefy as the earlier cell though. Glad you got to see that one.
Edit: Just seen your last post. I'm near Newton Aycliffe just to your north. I think I'll hang around for a bit.
Looking like they are gaining energy as they go North

There wasn't much when it came through on the Lightening on option on the radar but it was a beefy, short little storm non the less. Looks like it's getting more energy and heading straight your way. Fingers crossed for you

Is anyone under that cell trundling towards Tyne and Wear? Wonder if it's just a standard thundery shower.
It’s just passed through Darlington. It was short but intense rain and wind. A few flashes and rumbles then one almighty clap of thunder. 5mm of rain in less than 10 minutes. Short but sweet

I moved out of my house in Devon in late July 2014, it was crazy hot. The poor removal guys were bright red by the end of the day.
