Sun is out and very mild but clouds are starting to roll in

Temp dropped further to 5c now, still windy with lots of trees down and structural damage to some houses nearby, plus it's damaged our gate Mind you it could be worse, I could be in C a r l i s l e http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4156017.stm I don't think they will be hoping it snows in C a r l i s l e at the moment :lol: N.B. I didn't realise that word was a swear word B)

Winds are finally easing but still very gusty Temp fallen from 7.2c to 6.4c and apparently the wind chill is bad out there (I've been tucked up in bed :lol: )

Glad I'm not driving anything in this weather Severe sustained gusts out there, seriously think there will be structural damage around these parts. Also starting to rain as well 7.2c The electricity keeps dipping as well so have my torch at the ready <_<

Wow, big huge flakes and laying about 2 hours ago. I was getting quite worried for a while as it started to lay but then it turned to rain after about 1/2 hour

I am so suprised we did not get any snow up on the hill (although Sutton Bank had some), where as just south of York had some on low lying ground. We had a very dangerous situation this morning though, as it was -0.5c but was drizzling. Me and the little one went into town only to return after 5 mins cos he had slipped over 10 times

I have a recollection of building a snowman in the main road into my town around the late 70's, so it could have been 79 I remember going to my first boyfriend's house to give him his xmas pressie in 81 (holding hands kinda boyfriend) and the snow at the side of the road being higher than the car Most snow was up this way in 2002 when it snowed and thundered at the same time Hubbie got stuck with then 1 yr old and was 2 hours late. In the meantime I had rung the police and blubbed down the phone to them like a pathetic female
