  1. How nice to wake up to no rain for once. Still looks like the clouds are starting to win the battle now though :cry:
  2. :shock: Tonight has got to be one of my worst/scariest journeys home. Heavy rain from another storm made the roads extreamly flooded with water, mud and stones. At one point I had to slow right down as the rain was so heavy I could not make out the road or anyone on it :? :shock: I'm just glad I have a diesel car, cos some of the water I've had to drive through tonight would have stalled a petrol car
  3. Storm just starting up here, so far just rumbles and rain but looks quite nasty
  4. After a damp start we have been blessed by a few rays of sunshine Don't think it will last somehow
  5. :shock: OMG We just had a strike of lightening then Thunder that made the windows and roof vibrate. That was a big one.

  7. :lol: Had another storm during the night More rain, thunder and lightening. Didn't stay long but was quite impresive while it lasted

  10. Been cloudy but warm all day Currently 16.7c outside which is quite warm for this time of night.

  12. At last a return to summer We've had a fantastic day varying from baking hot to warm but shady. Currently 15.1c outside with clear skys
  13. Pouring down as I left home but now just dry with hazy clouds
  14. 12.1C feels colder - light rain earlier but dry now
  15. Had some interesting clouds tracking across the moors at approx 6pm but failed to deliver anything other than a bit of drizzle Currently 14.2c & I'm off to put the heating on, it's chilly :shock:
  16. Timmy H - you have actually reminded me of the summers of the 70's when we used to have really bad storms, with flooding, power cuts and loads of lightning Even up here the wind has been picking up this afternoon, leaves falling like autumn :?
  17. :shock: Had torrential rain, thunder & lightning at 5pm in Malton (got drenched) Really heavy rain and lots of lightning, which made getting home pretty hairy at times 8-[ Had another storm rumble and flash just to the edge of us tonight
  18. Lots of heavy showers this morning, followed by torrential rain at 1pm with long rumbles of thunder but alas no lightening

    Just spoken to someone in Scarborough who says it is hammering down, extremely heavy rain (for those who are unsure of Yorkshire lingo )
  21. 13.7C with clear skies and light wind Today saw the threat of rain (slight spots only) but turned out to be a nice sunny day with strong breeze at times, excellent clothes drying day (oh I am sad :roll: )
  22. We had a brief storm at 7pm Thunde, not too sure about lightening, but serious downfall (4mm in 10 mins) All quiet at the mo but having seen the radar I think there may be more :lol:
