    Just got called into work (central Bristol) due to a power cut and it was snowing very hevy on my way backup the M5, saw loads of gritters as well, maybe three in a mile or so.

    Wind and Rain has increased over the past hour or so, very gusty now we even had a short power cut which has come back on again now but for how long??

    Seems an age since i have had a wet trip into work, bloomin blowy to. Mild temps as well which is a nice change to this time last week, although bring on the next cold snap.

    Woke to a covering this morning, I was first to drive uo our road which is up hill, the car just about made it which the ice.

    Thanks for all the lovely comments, Micheal it will be worth it, it was getting late by the time we got there so the light wasn't great but it was an amazing site, I may venture back there at the weekend.

    I had a trip to the Brecon Beacons today with the family, by the time we got there the light was beginning to fail so some of these shots are a little grainy, and yes the lake is frozen and none of these shots contain snow it's all frost.

    Glorious sunset this evening. Temps now in free fall.

    Very cold day here with unbroken sunshine, took the kids out to play with their planes and the wind was so cold we only lasted 20 minutes.

    Mother of all frosts last night a really white morning, the sun is now melting all the ice now 2 degrees. Wall to Wall sunshine.

    A bit overcast in Bristol this lunchtime for my walk around the harbour area, A friend has just told me it's Snowing in Holland.

    Cracking frost last night, I'm not sure how low it went but it's the best looking frost i have seen so far. Another cloudless sky
