    Just had a very light snow shower and now I can see blue sky!!! Plenty of clouds behind it though and temp currently -0.3c PS if you look at the precipitation type below Glasgow, it appears to be readily turning to snow within the front.

    Currently snowing near Wigan. Just arrived back from Egypt and it is a refreshing change :unsure: Was also snowing at Manchester Airport when I landed around 11pm.

    Latest radar image shows the prec from Wales getting ever so close. Im starting to believe! Although, I know it won't amount to much.

    I'm going to put my neck on the line and say that the band of snow in wales will in fact reach the Northwest :lol: and then be pushed South. I reckon Southern half of the area will only get around 1cm from it though. I've never made a statement like this before so why not give it a try.

    Temp dropping off nicely under the clear skies. Just wait and see - you never know - no need to be miserable though - nothing to complain about this year compared to recent years!

    Yes the temps are dropping away rapidly - currently 1.7c / hour. I hit a max of 5.6c today - currently 2.1c

    Clear weather here now - temp 5.6c and dropping at a rate of 2.4c/hour

    Snowed in Wigan between 1 and 2 today. Not really stuck to roads except slush on my quiet side street. Temp dropped from aroud 4.5c to 1.5c during the snow. If you look at my weather station data (from link in my sig) you can see this very sharp drop. Temp rose to around 2.5c but now dropping again. Don't seem to be many showers heading in this direction now though

    I drive a Lotus Exige every day. Very tricky in the ice but much better now that I have changed from slick tyres Heres my baby:- P.S. the 3 inch ground clearance with the front splitter would mean that window wipers are a must when driving through deep snow

    A shower of huge hailstones woke me this morning at about 7:30. Not large enough to cause damage, but large enough to make a lot of noise. Very windy for about 30 seconds too!

    I've nothing booked skiing wise yet, but I should be going to Austria for a week in Feb and Les 2 Alpes 17th - 31st March. Plenty of time for snow between now and then. My mate is going to Tignes tomorrow for Christmas. There seems to be enough there. Just hope the temps dont increase, as there prob won't be any further dumps whilst he's there.

First picture is the view from my bedroom window as I walk into the room:- Second picture is the view from my balcony at night:- Third picture was taken inside a gorge situated in the region.     Hi OON Not been on here for ages as been moving house. Weather station is now situated near Wigan rather than in Newcastle.
