Model Output Discussion - 8th December Onwards
Baynesey (snow chaser) replied to Paul's topic in Forecast Model Discussion
the meto forecast nearly changes as much as the models at the moment. but tbh no matter how much computing power these models have, mother nature is far more powerful , and she will do as she pleases. pleasent reading on here today, not just because of the nicer looking runs, but also because the rants had stopped bit off topic sorry mods. -

Been a lurker pretty much since 2005 but i have learnt a few things. ive noticed over the last few years the GFS always throws outragously deep lows at us from the west, only for them to be downgraded majorly as they get closer to T0. if this was the case again would the low undercut the high easier?? -

the GFS is run at a lower res at that range, thats why it can be wrong, the NAE is a higher res short range model -
