  1. Hi Donna It must be the cold air on the outside and the hot air on the inside............what are you doing in there??
  2. I agree Steve it is snowing lightly but the snag is the temp has risen to its highest today 0.7c hope that trend doesn't continue!
  3. Blizzard here now i can barely see the end of the road and it is only 4 houses to the end. I have just got in from a drive round the area to take pic's and it is building up and drifting really bad now, if this keeps up over night without many cars about there will be a lot of blocked roads in my area.
  4. Your dad's very close to me,just round in the next road infact and the picture i took looking SE was looking in the direction of Orwell Way. Going out now to have a ride round and take some pic's
  5. Here's 2 pics one looking SE and the other NE The first one is looking SE at the snow band which is hopefully coming this way
  6. I can see it to my SE looking very threatening as it creeps slowly closer even though the wind is in the NE lets hope it keeps coming!
  7. Your right about that Steve it came down really heavy but it was pretty brief though. BU
  8. Nice fluffy snow flakes in Clacton which have got even bigger since i took these pic's
  9. A level 3 inches on top of the car this morning and last night was the first time i have experienced thunder and lightning in a snow storm !
  10. Rainfall for Clacton-on-Sea 2009 January: 45.8mm February: 67.2mm March: 29.0mm April: 14.4mm May: 30.2mm June: 47.6mm July: 66.6mm Total for the year so far 300.8mm
  11. Hi Harry, I think thats a great idea and as Paul says he has it in the pipeline. It will be particularly helpful for me trying to fine tune the positioning of lightning strikes on my detector map, its quite tricky looking at the radar and other lightning detectors for guidance but it would be much easier with first hand sightings being placed on a map in real time. BU
  12. Thats pretty impressive Paul it makes the world seem a much smaller place when you can check out area's around the world at the click of a button. Netweather is moving forward in leaps and bounds lately, well done BU
  13. Thats what we like to hear oh and by the way the lightning detector is working now
  14. The data from my lightning detector won't upload to Netweather so it appears there is some kind of problem !
  15. Take a look at the screen shot http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/clactonweatherd...ingdetector.png
  16. Hi Coast, Some really good pictures there and i especially liked the one of Nigel Mansells old car.Did you get to meet any drivers? i have been told you can get close to them there.I go to the Grand Prix every year and always say i should go to Goodwood but never get around to it, looking at your pic's perhaps i will have to make the effort next year BU
  17. So pic's just before it hit Sadly didn't manage to get any lightning pic's before the rain came and couldn't see clearly through the window then
  18. Glad you like it i was going to PM you with a link to it when i had got it dialled in the for accuracy but it was spot on tonight
