  1. Snow in Aylesbury, fairly Central England, maybe North Southern England? Think there'll also be any snow towards heathrow tomorrow morning? Leaving here at 9.15am for the journey to Heathrow.
  2. Sorry - forgot to add - it's the Thursday. The flight goes from heathrow at 1.35pm. Got to drive to Heathrow from Aylesbury to get there for 10am. I'm hoping that we'll get sleet/rain rather than snow - do any of you have any idea on what it's likely to be like? Thanks!
  3. I'm getting a flight from Heathrow at 1pm, should it be okay in getting there (from Aylesbury) and for planes taking off etc? I've been looking forward to this holiday for ages - looks like I'm going to miss the big snow event I've always wanted whilst away
  4. I know it's not completely model related - but I'm getting a flight from Heathrow at 1pm, should it be okay in getting there (from Aylesbury) and for planes taking off etc? I've been looking forward to this holiday for ages - looks like I'm going to miss the big snow event I've always wanted whilst away
  5. Please for my sake pray that the snow will come after 1pm on Thursday. I'm getting a flight out to Denver for a skiing holiday Thursday at 1pm!
  6. I hope for the love of God this doesn't happen Thursday morning. I'm getting a flight to go skiing in Colorado Thursday @ 1pm.. Hopefully it rains.
  7. I wouldn't say that. It all comes down to where you live. Here in Aylesbury 2004-2005 was 10* better than 2005-2006. Atleast we actually saw a measurable amount of snow on the floor in 2004-2005..
  8. The other thing is that because one or two people have heavy snow, they seem to think the whole country was effected which is very much not the case. Over the past few days we've not had a single snow flake here and I know it's the same case for most of England. Only really Wales, Scotland and N/NW England have seen anything from it..
  9. We had dry snow all morning, getting heavy at times but not settling (light snow earlier made ground wet, after that just got wetter and wetter), snow ended at around 1.15 or so, there was a gap for 30 minutes or so and it began to sleet, then turned to rain around 3pm ish. It's now sleeting and slowly turning back into snow. (Aylesbury)
