Echoing the sentiments of others, radar is lying through its teeth. It's dry as a bone here!

Not even a dusting here....
-
Underwhelming view of this week from Paul Hudson tonight. No snow until Thursday apart from higher ground...*sigh*

last week it was all over was a non event couple days later models flipped and it brought it back for most if not all, I still believe it will change in the last 24/48 hours!
I'd love it if it did!!

Not quite sure it'll hit us, LeeSnowFan. Just looking at where the precipitation is falling when it's cold enough and it's seems to be either on the other side of the hill or more south. :-(

Conflicting reports on here tonight - is Huddersfield is the firing line?
-
Whereabouts are you, Aaron?
-
What a let down. Barely anything here. Bare patches everywhere and a dusting over some surfaces. Hammering it down now but too late - needed this through the night (as forecasted) to make any difference.
Edit - stopped now. Like I said, what a let down.

Nothing here yet. I think I may be lamppost watching later. The question will be to wine or not to wine! Hahaha!

Keep looking at the charts and the comments from folks in here and on the model thread and I genuinely can't make up my mind as to whether we're due to get a fair amount of the white stuff or whether it'll turn out to be a damp squib this week for us here in West Yorkshire. I just have a feeling that it simply won't make it this far south, or will get sucked in by the Pennines. Anyone got the same feeling or am I on my own with this?

Still going in Skelmanthorpe too. Does seem to be pepping up a bit...
-
Nice band over us at the minute coming down more intense not stopped all day!
I've just come from Dewsbury/Westborough side and it wasn't too bad. Not really settled on the roads, and was turning to snizzle about 30 mind ago. Hope that helps!

A mere dusting here. Maybe 1cm. It is snowing but flakes are so small it may as well not bother...
-
Sleet then rain for us here. Still raining a bit, but it's thawing out the ice that was on the driveway. I'm pretty glad to be honest - I didn't fancy clearing ice at 6am tomorrow morning to get my car out!!
-
Definitely clouding over from the NW here as well. Hope we get another top up from this - was nice to get 2 or 3 cm's from yesterday's showers.
Tuesday/Wednesday looks interesting for our region as well...

Ok, I know the 'IMBY' type questions are a bit annoying, what are the chance of my area (Huddersfield) getting a pasting next week? We had that bit of snow on Boxing Day which hung around for about 5 days but since then virtually nothing - it seems to have either been above us or below us.
It'd be fab to get a right dumping like we did a couple of years ago!! ⛄

The end of next week looks very interesting for us at the moment...

Just started here. Big flakes but very light. Don't think it'll amount to much though!
-
Snowing here in Huddersfield. Had a tiny dusting overnight as well.
-
This is the most snow we have had all season. Finally, it gives us what I would call 'proper snow'! I'm not bothered if it lasts all weekend - after tomorrow, it can melt away as far as I'm concerned. I feel like we've had winter now!

Slowed down here and almost stopped here about an hour ago. Just pepped up again about 10mins ago. Am I reading right? There's going to be something even heavier tonight?
-
Heavy snow here.Few hours i would say looking at radar.Whats of more interes is this
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Cloudy, cold with heavy snow and very strong easterly winds on Friday, lingering into Saturday. By Sunday the snow has cleared away, but still very cold, with strong easterly winds.
That would be fab if it came off, but when you put in my postcode into the forecast area of this site, it comes up with very little rainfall and even less snow over the course of the next week. Very confusing!
-
Was snowing lightly when I left for work at 7am in Skelmanthorpe. Here in Dewsbury, its dismal, grey and fine sleet/rain. Boooooo!
-
Snowing quite heavily here now. Covering the cars and roofs very quickly and it's only been going about 10mins. Any idea how long it's supposed to go on for?

Very, very light snow falling. Has settled, but just a dusting. Doesn't look as though it's going to keep going for long. Nice to see something falling though.
