  4. Nothing worse than looking for a leak when there is nothing obvious,in the end I bit the bullet and got it fibreglassed, there are other sheet coverings as well nowbut it does make you wish you had invested in it sooner, you can just forget about it....
  5. Hi John yes please I am at work all night and want something to read lol . Thanks Chris
  6. Hi Lauren Glad you are ok ,I hit something the other day with less dramatic results apart from a slight vibration now at speed,me thinks a knocked off a balance weight or I distorted the wheel, trouble is I can't get anywhere to have it checked for a while, don't think its a tyre but can't see anything.I would get yours checked out asap as you could have some damage.I came upon a ambulance stopped in the slow lane of the M2 over Christmas and in front was a people carrier on its roof, quite shocking to see but could have happened through the same reasons so I think we have both been lucky. Chris
  7. Hi Looby hope you all had a great Christmas . Hope you rescued your tree after the storms.
  8. An hour ago it was broken cloud and sunshine and now there is a blanket of low cloud/mist/fog here in Docklands.
  9. Morning folks the drive in to London was the best its been for a while, wet roads in places below 5C all the way in but no wind and not too much traffic.
  10. Happy Christmas everyone. Just driven in to work wet and sleety near home and got dryer and colder as I got towards London.
  11. O well at least you won't get flooded..... can you imagine what it would be like if it was blowing the other way. Can't imagine what it is like in a caravan down at Reculver, other half grew up down there as her parents owned one of the sites down there. Keep safe Chris
  12. the gusts are merging into a more continuous roaring sound, seems to be pulsing ,much stronger than earlier
  13. Good luck Piggie thinking of you at this worrying time. Pressies not on the floor under the tree are they?
  14. Opposite end to you, down near the beach huts on the way to Hampton. Hope you and your family have a great Christmas mine won't be very good, working alone Christmas day and Boxing day ,step daughter and new grandson moved away by social services due to ex violent boyfriend getting out of jail !! so other half has got to try and get disabled mum round on her own....roll on next Christmas oh poo working again.. Still as long as I get a safe drive to and from work I will be happier. Brass band on the pier has been cancelled...wonder why Have a great Christmas.........Chris
  15. You will always find a calming voice on here to help you through,no one here is in to panicing people, hope he gets home safely and soon. Yes it is due to get worse but if indoors it may not be noticable, put a film on and turn the sound up....stay safe indoors and try and keep in touch with then both.
  16. Hi Looby not got work tonight have you ? just had to go and retrieve my wheelie bins (Full) from down the front path, nearly gone two houses down without falling over thank god.
  17. Its very hard for anyone to say how bad it will be but looking at what is being posted I expect it to be very gusty and wet,a bad combination for trees. The afternoon will be worse than the morning so you will have to think carefully about that trip, perhaps someone could give you a lift or take a taxi, better still if possible don't take him out at all. Not easy if you have work etc but if you have to go out perhaps the taxi would be the best idea. You could find yourself at risk form flying objects so a car is protection from that.Hope its not that bad but it could be. Be safe . Chris
  18. My F10 experience was our honeymoon trip to Denmark in December, all other vessels decided not to risk it except ours!!!! It was a strange experience seeing the curtains hanging at 45 degrees to the windows,we staggered to the night club which if you was not already feeling sick would turn your tummy it was lit in magenta/pink ,it was impossible to dance as you were being thrown around so we pirched on a couple of barstools that were screwed down.It was only then that we realised that the only people in there was staff !!!! They had shut alot of the bars due to lack of customers,it was a very different way to start a honeymoon and a week later when we came home we copped another gale force storm.
