Thunderstorm last night in milton keynes from 11:50pm until 1:30am, some loud thunder and heavy rain. All the lightning was IC & CC, didn't even see one CG. Nice suprise though, and a bonus as it thundered on me birthday.... Yipeeeeee!!!!

Storm Report For Friday The 12th Of May

Only just been able to report. Haven't got internet where i'm staying now. So i'm making reports from parents house. Started looking iffyin milton keynes about 6:30Pm, sat looking out the patio window watching three small clouds grow into huge narrow towers. After 30 mins 1 of the towers developed a large striated anvil. Then all hell broke loose for nearly 45mins. Hardly any rainfall, but loads of IC and CG lightning and booming thunder. Was great. Also the first thunderstorm of the year. -
Milton Keynes 14:00 BST. Temperature: 21'c / 70'f Due Point: 55'f / 13'c Wind: 11MPH NNE Humidity 64% Weather: Clear and Sunny.

Those photographs of the anvil crawlers are truly amazing ozzie I bet the thunder was deafening with lighting bolts that large? How an earth did paul sleep through that???? lol :o
