  1. Well the weather here this evening has been fun. Large pea sized hail too start off with this afternoon. Then heavy rain, followed at 5:30pm rain / huge snowflakes. Not sleet. was snowing properly with the raindrops. than about 6pm a complete white out. absolutely enormous snowflakes, some were the size of tennis balls <--- not exagerating here. these were incredible. Sadly now it's turned back to rain / drizzle and everything is melting. Left around 2-3cms before the thaw kciked in here though. Really unexpected. As for the tree londonsnow was asking about. It's either a weeping willow or a ornamental weeping cherry tree. Parents have one in the garden.
  2. Hey come on now. It may be 7am, but I ain't falling for that one. It is april fools day afterall. lmao
  3. Wasn't really snow. Wasn't really Drizzle. Was definately the horrible stuff aptly named SNIZZLE!!! LOL. Was snizzling around 9am here when i was on my way out of tesco's in Bletchley.
  4. Just started to snow lightly in Milton Keynes about 5 mins ago, not looking very heavy on the old radars but what ever falls will lay as it's below freezing and we still have about 2cm of lying snow on the grass ect from tuesdays showers
  5. Just woken up after radar watching till 6am, looks like we had more snow while i was sleeping but then a bit of a thaw. On a possivtive note its been snowing steadily here now for about 15mins or so, so we have about 2cm of lying snow on tree's grass ect... nothing on the pavements, maybe a little to warm. Hey, but it's snow and in milton keynes of all places too. I'm happy, now if it only got heavier and layed some more i could go make snow angels
  6. an report it's now snowing in Milton Keynes. The place of NO snow ( normally ) lmao
  7. How cool is that, had brief thundery outbreaks around 12-1:30pm, just got a better one which lasted 20mins, heavy rain and frequent loud rumbles of thunder and lightning. In october too and it's freezing here. lol
  8. WOOHOOO thunder now heard in milton keynes, pelting down with rain too. Absolutely Thunderiffic
  9. Well Hmmm, it's getting too bloody hot for my liking now. Humidity is slowly rising and exhuberating the heat more. Currently it's sitting just under the 30'c mark @ 29.7'c, humidity is 68% and rising now too. Last night was pretty unbearable for sleeping here, temp didn't drop below 22.5'c according to my temp cauge, managed 1.5hrs sleep after midnight and awoke with the worst head ever, felt like i'd drank 20 beers the evening before. So stayed awake the rest of the night sitting by windows trying to catch a breeze and drinking plenty of coffee. Just waiting now with anticipation for the instabilities to build and kick in, then BBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!! :o
  10. Like an oven here, currently around 27.9'C with clear blue skies, just the ocassional fluffy cloud. Humidity sitting around 72% and rising i think. It's getting very sticky to say the least.
  11. I think if that was bearing down towards you, it would be one major brown trousers event. Awesome Photo <_<
  12. Well what can I say about those pictures, simply amazing The 4th one looks like it's arrived straight from hell, it's so menacing. Hope your able to intercept some more storms in the coming days, good luck guys and keep safe!!!!
  13. Sorry to hear that, 3 days in a row now . Didn't the storms produce any good lightning shows??? atleast that would be a consolation!!! Had quite a few storms knocking around the UK yesterday afternoon / early evening, took quite a few snaps with my camera phone at a res of 640x480, got 2 nice one's. 1 gust front and what appears to be the start of a funnel cloud at the rear end of the storm, I was watching it and definately noted rotation Well better luck today guys, go get a F-5 on video for us all to drool over in amazement
  14. OMG, those aare huge. I knew the storms were pretty intense as I have been watching them move north of Milton Keynes and the lightning was amazing, the thunder in the distance was the cool house shaking type too. Those hailstones are awesome though, I wonder if these storms are gonna drop any funnels????
  15. hmm ok, watching a numer of storms from my location here in milton keynes, 2 to my west and 1 to my south east. fingers crossed they are gonna meet up and have a party over at my house most amazing lightning i have seen for quite a while this early in the spring. 7 or 8 flashes of what appears to be IC at a distance, rads reporting CG's too. here comes the fun i think
  16. The old snow might have been crap here this morning, just had something that put a smile back on my face though. torrential hailstorm and thunder & lightning. Roll on the electrically laden cumulonimbus. Yipee!!!!!!!!!
  17. Well what a amazing event the snow was here this morning, woke up to moderate snowfall which last all of 30 mins and gave a slight covering, then turned into snizzle. Now we have the usual MK weather, bucket loads of drizzly rain. Perhaps if you live higher up you might see some worth while snowfall, but I think most peeps are going to be dissapointed as I have this morning
  18. Had an hour of heavy snowfall this morning around 10AM, settled for a while before melting due to the rising daily temperature. In the last hour had some light to moderate snow showers. Coming across horizontally in a very strong NE wind. Looks like we might get some more overnight if the showers keep feeding inland from the northsea through the wash area
  19. Been snowing here since 14:30, very light and patchy with the occasional heavier burst, nothing settling though
  20. LoL Nick, beat me to it by 30seconds or so, will have to get a mod to delete mine Anyway here's what happenning here: Currently -6.8'c Overcast with dense freezing fog. Looks nice a white out, even though it isn't snow
  21. As there is no thread started for today, thought I should start one. Please post your weather reports below.
  22. Had a light snow shower here around 11am that I witnessed, sky is getting dark again now with approaching showers. Temperature sitting around the 1'c mark, so i'm sure any PPN is gonna be wintry if not snow.
  23. Snowing lightly in Milton Keynes now, some bigger stuff mixed in. Might get a covering before morning?? :o
  24. just to update, still snowing here in Milton Keynes. Keeps changing from light to moderate snowfall. Nothing is laying and the covering from overnight has mostly all melted now . Here's hoping the PPN will become heavier this afternoon and lay a nice layer again before clearing and freezing overnight. I still haven't had enough to build a snowman ;(
  25. Very dissapointing overnight here in Milton Keynes, from 9PM last night we had nothing but frozen drizzle, which left 2cm of slushy muck on the grass. The last 10Mins have seen the PPN pick up quite a bit though and some proper snow beginning to fall, not sticking to pavements or roads as they are 2 wet but lying on the grass and tree's ect... Hopefully the heavier PPN in the north is going to move south during the day???
