South East & East Anglia Regional Discussion 4th April 2013 onwards
jaynemc replied to snow raven's topic in Regional
Some seriously big flakes falling here (KT20) and settling very quickly too :-) As pretty as it is, it really is becoming tiresome. I read somewhere on here that if it snowed in April it would be the 7th consecutive month it has snowed in this region..amazing ! -
Nothing in Reigate area i'm afraid, just grey :-( According to radar it should be snowing here !

Just been driving home from work (Nr Reigate- I was watching radar so left work early!!) Heavy snow started nr Dorking at 5.15, and snowing very heavy at home, here in Cranleigh (south of Guildford) . The roads not coping, already snow covered and traffic steadily slowing down, nearly a cm in 20 mins, looking good far a nice covering tonight, as long as it doesn't turn back to rain (like it has on the coast ) Enjoy :-)

Stay with the Mrs ! 50 yrs ago today my mother went into labour with my sister (Happy B'day Sis !) and it was the great storm of 63, Mum got to hosp after nearly 3hrs (bearing in mind she was only 8 miles from the hospital) and she nearly didn't make it, She's glad my dad was around at that time ! Baby's are unpredictable ( sis was 3 weeks early) Better safe and close, than sorry and miles away :-)- 877 replies
